I feel the opposite I love We're On Our Way for what it is, but felt there was something missing in the way it was built This is shorter, pretty much a no-nonsense pop track, but to me it's got what We're On Our Way didn't have, and it's more complete despite going on for quite a short time The way it's structured with the instrumental break (not as empty as the WOOWN one) after the chorus and then the ending repeating the verse just make it richer and better constructed Also, on the moving bit, they're just different tunes, WOOWN is *supposed* to be moving (and it is), but this just has some great "driving with you mates while the sun's coming down" summer vibes to it, pure melancholic joy Fair enough, I do think both tunes could do with a middle-eight or guitar solo to add another melody to their back halves. But out of the two, I definitely prefer We're On Our Way Now so far. As I said earlier, the chorus of this tune feels like it's building to something, in a way that does get paid off the first time (the instrumental at 1:12 is genuinely fantastic) but then doesn't really go anywhere the second or third times. I do like the song overall, though. Gorgeous production and reminds me of a mix of the first album with While the Song Remains the Same. Backing vocals are really pretty, too. I'd feel the same way if it had the usual instrumental ending but to me the way it goes back to the verse is what makes it feel complete I thought WOOWN needed a solo, probably my only real complaint with it and why I wouldn't rate it more than a 8/10, I never think "something's missing" when listening to this despite it being a short tune for Noel's standards

I know it's gonna seem almost blasphemous to many, but this sounds as liberating and carefree and some of the early Oasis stuff Definitely get Oasis b-side vibes from it. (Compliment). X

I kinda like the lyrics... as the years go by/ I'll dry the tears from your eyes/ all we need is love and a place we call home Pretty good to me There are some good individual lines. I like the start, too, "Like a lonely soul, on an empty sea/Behind a setting sun, I bet you can't find me" -- promising as a feeling, but then he's gotta go and use "heart of gold" in the next stanza ... The melody is really something though. Woke up with in it my head and I only gave it a couple listens yesterday.

6/10, after first listen. It’s okay.

I think they've both been pretty ordinary. It always seems weird to add new songs on a best of to me as they are very rarely songs good enough to be on there compared to others that get left off. There doesn't seem to be much musicianship coming from Noel these days either.

There doesn't seem to be much musicianship coming from Noel these days either. It's 100% not best of calibre. Think the hype has helped alot as we're all clamoring for new Noel output. I can't see myself playing this much in a few months. Still a nice tune

I do hear early Oasis... that’s insane. Imagine if Liams vocals were on it … it would sound like another she’s electric ! Would be a guaranteed another number one back in the day

Would be a guaranteed another number one back in the day Not getting "She's Electric" from this song at all! (People really do hear very differently.) Back in the day, a Liam vocal would have given FOTG a different tone -- there's nothing saccharine in Liam's voice so he would have instantly broken the Bacharach mood and that would have indeed made it something new. But now, the song is too high for Liam so seems at best a moot point.

Great song, can we now finally stop pretending those EP's were any good? This song is a good departure from the Oasis' sound or whatever you would call it. Black Star Dancing, This Is the Place and Blue Moon Rising all sound like Andy Bell on the toilet.

Wow, I like this much more than Were On Our Way Now. It has that special something that makes it pop on first listen, brillant stuff.
Sounds like it easily could be the lead single for a new album.

9/10 Really liking this one. Stuck right in my head all day. Didn't get that with the last one. Thought it was alright, seemed to be missing something though for me.
Kind of chuckled when I read, he'd said he was in his Weller period. I get it now. Looking forward to hearing it live.

Eh, it’s fine. I love the vibe that he’s going for. I just wish he had a better song to fit that vibe.

Liam has been over on Instagram saying it sounds like Lenny Kravitz. Is anyone getting Lenny Kravitz out of this?

Both songs, are correct..I prefer this more than the cosmic pop...but they're missing something...maybe a guitar sólo and more instruments arrangemente at the last choruses. The spaghetti western vibes is something that he should never put aside.
