That's what referees should be for

Still waiting on the diving Englishman video which pre-dates the one I posted. Few souls on here with some mighty chips on their shoulders. Enjoy the final. I'm struggling to understand what you're getting at, are you saying "they started it so that makes it ok when we do it"? Go back and read each individual point I’ve made more carefully. If you have the patience and time for that kind of thing.

Always the same with these knuckle dragging folk who like to think the English game is so much morally superior than the dastardly foreigners.
All that empire-pining moral posturing from the same group of supporters that glorified the thuggery of Vinnie Jones and made him an actual career from it. The lack of self-awareness is shocking at times.

My point is this:
Fairness only works fairly if both parties are interested in fairness.
Once that breaks down, do whatever it takes to win.
And be ruthless with it.

And that's not a problem?

I don't give one if Sterling dived (if it was even a dive), I'm not from England and I, for one, will be supporting them in the final.

Oh fuck off eh. Michael Owen against Argentina in both 98 and 02? The narrative that Johnny Foreigner football players have always been cheats and English players have never done it is laughable. Still waiting on the diving Englishman video which pre-dates the one I posted. Few souls on here with some mighty chips on their shoulders. Enjoy the final. Ok I’ll just delve into my personal collection of videos I have labeled “England players diving” shall I? You could always start with the two Owen dives I mentioned - I’m sure those games will be on YouTube.

Germans are a lot more friendly towards us English than most other countries, at least from my experience there. So I always find the WW2 references from fans and media boring every time we play against each other and wish we'd move on. It’s fine coming from the fans and tabloids. The „10 German bombers in the air“ song is pretty funny imo. But it’s really weird to mention ww2 as the Coach of the Team. I mean would you possibly bring that up

The "two world wars and one world cup" is a funny chant, but to have the war from eighty years ago unironically talked about by the manager of the national football team is cringe-worthy as fuck. This is what I meant a few pages ago about the over-40's in Britain being basically a separate country to ones who aren't, you know, raging dickheads. Britain? I think you mean England.

But I didn't spend an afternoon last week receiving homophobic messages from Scottish boomers on Facebook about having long hair in a Still Game fan page of all places to think that all the other countries are exempt from the culture. But it's more of an English thing, of course. Tory gammon land north of fifty.

But it definitely is more of an English thing, of course. Tory gammon land north of fifty. There are morons everywhere mate but it’s definitely the English gammon and media that have a hard on for WWII. When the other home countries play Germany, none of that stuff is even mentioned. Same with when we play Argentina.

We have a growing minority that tries to forget but we won’t.

I don’t love it but I like a bit of Still Game, but in fairness, the diehard fans of it I know back up in Scotland are wankers. Really don’t know why but no surprise that Facebook page is full of dickheads. Anyway, before this thread unexpectedly turns into a thread about Still Game ultras, best of luck and hope you English lads and lasses who I know to be all sound have a great night. All I'll say on the penalty was that it was soft but by no means the worst I've ever seen. If a dedicated group of Scots want to drone on about it that's fine by me. I'm sure they would be moralising about it just as much had they pinched a win in the England game via the same penalty

On the game tonight, I have England as underdogs, I can't see us winning to be fair. There were warning signs against Denmark, but you have to be in it to win it and we have a chance, albeit slight if you ask me.

Don't think it's that unbalanced You're not gonna take away our midfield the way Spain did, but we've showed we struggle against quick players attacking the box and guys playing in between the lines and Mount and Sterling are supposed to do just that, as well as Kane moving around much more than the likes of Lukaku or Arnautovic We may have played better overall in the tournament, but you've got the weapons to hit us in our weak spots We do too of course, so it's gonna be fun It's also gonna be interesting to see how the fans factor plays out Don't wanna get into an arguement, but the numbers are not even is all I'm gonna say That should be an advantage for England especially after 2 years played in empty stadium, but I wonder if the players will feel the pressure a bit, this is truly England big chance

I've been following the English team ever since Italy 1990, when I madly fell in love with Gary Lineker - as you do -, and I'm scared shitless for tonight!

My employer allowed us to go in to work last night instead of tonight. 12 hours work, came home and got me head down - just woke up and I AM ABSOLUTELY BRICKING IT.
Oh god 😥
