I saw some streets in my neighbourhood are covered up with orange flags and all that.
I think our Oranjes will do pretty good, but personally I'm not waiting for annoying noisy neighbours from the street behind our house having a TV in their back yard during the cup.

Meh. Hope England bring it home, but the Euros just feels life sucking this time round.

I look forward to it with great excitement as always, but...
I just can't get around how the new format has devalued the competition. Adding 8 more teams the last time around was bad enough, a third placed team should never be allowed past the groupstage. But I have to say they managed to make it even worse this time with these Nations League playoffs, risking letting teams in that frankly haven't deserved their places in the tournament. I was about to mention both Scotland and North Macedonia, but after some research they did after all finish third in their respective groups, justifying their continued play off adventures. Same with Slovakia, but Hungary finished fourth and should have been out. They won their Nations League group, but so what? Looking at some of the teams that could have qualified, it is shocking how Israel, FIFTH in their qualifying group and THIRD in their Nations League group could end up in a position where they were two play off games away from the Euros. Georgia reached one of the Playoff finals, they finshed second last in both of their groups. It's an absolute joke.
Some may not care as much, but as someone from a country where qualifying for tournaments is in itself an achievement, it shouldn't be this damn circumstantial. It takes away the value of qualifying, and makes for less excitement in the tournment itself. More uneven games, and if one of the big nations fuck up they will most likely go through anyway, like Portugal in 2016.
But anyway, France will be fun to watch! That attack, backed up by Kante... fucking hell.

It’s pretty simple for Germany, if we can make it out of the group stage we’ll have a good chance of winning it all. On paper our team looks great with possibly the best midfield in the world, but I have serious doubts if Löw is capable of putting it together as a functional team. Last three years were pretty bad for our standards.
So who knows, maybe in the end Gary lineker is right again.

This could be a great little warm-up for the Olympics, which I'm looking forward to a lot.
I hope we, Hungary will end up 3rd in our group, it would be quite a miracle but WHY NOT. It's just a shame Georgia didn't qualify, they would've been my other favourites. L

Can’t imagine how the Danish and Finnish players are feeling right now. I nearly feel like I need counseling and I was just watching the telly.
Please God he’ll pull through, encouraging signs as he appears to be awake.

The medical team are absolute heroes. Honestly feared the worst when I saw how long he stayed on the floor and how no one seemed "in a rush" Incredible work from the medical staff and also a great display from the danish team, from Kjaer giving him first aid to Delaney calling all the guys to cover him while the doctors were trying to reanimate him Feel for Schmeichel who has witnessed some horrific stuff in his life and seems like such a nice bloke, but overall I'm just relieved Eriksen made it, this Euros were supposed to be such a celebration and a symbol of hope with the crowds back and all that and it really could've been a tragedy instead

Honestly had tears in my eyes when the fans of both countries were chanting his name in the stadium. Horrible, intense thing to have watched and I'm so fucking glad he seems to be on the road to recovery. I'm shocked that the teams wanted to get on with the game so soon afterwards, though - felt like UEFA should have stepped in and moved the game to tomorrow. Just can't believe that you're in a headspace to play international football a couple of hours after witnessing something like that. Apparently UEFA told them it was either tonight or 12 PM tomorrow so they chose to play tonight, you could see their minds weren't really into the game tho Feel bad for Finland as well, such an historic game for them in such a mental and almost tragic day

There is NO reason why they couldn't have waited an additional day or two to continue the game, no reason whatsoever. The players might have said they were ready to play on, but that was when considering the other option which was the 12 PM kickoff! If even one player on the pitch was affected, that should be enough, and Simon Kjaer could only manage 20 minutes before asking to be subbed off. The continuation of the game should have been postponed, simple as that. I also feel bad for the Finnish players who can't 100% enjoy this hiatoric victory. And speaking of Simon Kjaer, what a man, what a leader.

Love to see Sterling score. Winds up at least 50% of the country. Unbelievable the hate he got three years ago when he was on the field. I remember being in pubs for the England games for the World Cup, absolutely no interest in supporting them but always thought he played well but got barrage of swear words at him all the time while BNP favourite tosser Jamie Vardy was getting screamed at to replace him (and when he did play he was fucking shite). England’s best forward. Still hope England fucking lose though.

Watching the Euros and international football is such a palette cleanser after the epic plastic Champions League final (Premier League not much better). Anyway, onto Scotland tomorrow. Cannot wait to scream at our lads and see them faltering on the big stage again after 23 years. But I jest, I cannot wait to see us back on the big stage. Happy to be there!

Was scary to see him collapse. Wishing him and his team all the best. Oranje are playing tonight. And in typical Dutch fashion too. Not boring at all! So great to see them back in a summer tournament after so long. And more importantly, great to see them playing in the classic attacking Dutch style again. Can’t remember the last time they were this entertaining, Euro 2008 maybe?

Out of form at the moment, but he will mess a move up fifty times, and still be there running just as hard for the fifty-first. And when he's on form, he's unplayable. Plus, when he scores, you get the added satisfaction of knowing that all the Brexit boo-the-knee racist wankers that populate England are secretly seething. Guarantee you those pubs were full of middle-aged blokes giving it "well, he couldn't miss from there" takes today. Would love him to keep MOTM-ing it as the tournament goes on. How are Scotland looking recently? Never watch as much non-EPL football as I mean to, not familiar with their squad outside of the usual Robertson and Gilmour knowledge.

That's what I notice with him, if he's not scoring then he's adding another body in midfield to defend the team. Work rate is second to none, far better than most English forwards. As for Scotland, it's really uncharted territory. I don't have expectations as it's the first time they've got to a tournament since I was 7, I genuinely am happy to be there. They're good lads, a decent squad at best that probably lacks that cutting edge but with good team spirit and good organisation they can do well.

Wasn’t sure about leaving Grealish out but 3 points leaves Southgate out of reach of his critics.
Great result.
Obvs our next game will be easy 🤔

Didn't expect our Oranje would do so good last night. Enjoyed watching the match.
Daley Blind said in the interview after the match that he was seriously considering himself not to play this match after what happened to Eriksen, but was glad that he played after all. He knew what it's like as he collapsed during the match in 2019 too.
The best of luck to Scotland today!
