The song is ok but it's certainly not one of my favourites from Noel. And, there's far better songs on Who Built The Moon.

It's a shit song with shit lyrics, shit music and a shit melody. My criticism has nothing to do with it being" "different" or "out there." That about covers it.

Just the lyrics. I always feel weird when I listen to Noel singing about dancing because he clearly doesn't dance.
But it's a very good song.

All. The melody, the lyrics, the way it's sung. All poor. For me the worst song of the entire Gallagher career

Never understood how anyone could not like this song.
Absolute banger. One of his all-time best. And one day at the bus stop, my 6-year-old saw a little girl trip and started singing, "She fell! She fell! Right under my spell!"

I think its great and even my parents like it. Seems like only hardcore oasis fans hate it. Noel has also said his family really liked it and they hardly like any of his stuff. If I was Noel I would have asked questions of people at my record label for not promoting it better and making it more of a hit. He wrote probably one of the best pop songs he could possibly write, and it still didn't chart that well. I would be pretty depressed lol
In contrast i think the 2 most recent songs he released were pretty mediocre and samey. But many people on here seem to love them

The song's too divisive to have charted better imo, even with better promotion.

It had a top 40 peak with a 10 weeks chart run (3rd best for any of the Gallaghers), and it ended up getting certified, what are you talking about?

Just going by what the guy above said that it didn't chart that well, and it needed better promotion.
Peak of #31 sounds about right tbh, doubt better promotion would've helped it chart better.

It actually did very well despite hardcore fans not getting it, so can't see what else they could've done They've not always nailed the promotion (see: Flying On the Ground), but the window for the first single overlapped with the U2 tour at the time, so they did what they could to get a good performance and it worked It also got some good airplay if I remember correctly

I listen to a pretty wide range of music, not just rock and roll and definitely not just Oasis. It's all been said before so I won't flog the poor horse but just to say you can in fact believe that NG can make whatever music he likes and still not like this song!

Beadyβs Here Nowmerged your thread "What is wrong with Holy Mountain?" with this other thread (that you created this very year and was still on page 1) because we don't need another open thread about this cringey song and I hope that answers both of your questions

It's just annoying as fuck. I'd rather listen to the nanananas on loop in In the Heat of The Moment by comparison.

The live version of The Heat Of The Moment is much better than the album version. And, although I like Chasing Yesterday that song must be one of my least favourites.
