Don’t want to be pessimistic, but my hopes are fading here. Seems like if NG intended to release a full cover of Mind Games the natural time would have been on Lennon’s birthday. So this either got sock-drawered (“Oh I was just mucking about in the studio”) or will randomly show up one day (Alone on the Rope style)

So, he said Sean just asked some of his mates to post a cover on SM and he did, there's nothing on the horizon but he recorded a full version of it and said he has not mixed it yet (so I assume he will), so I guess there's a chance it comes out at some point
Also, the whole covers album thing is a load of bollocks

I'm starting to wonder if Noel ever finished recording &/or mixing the complete song yet.
Maybe he just fooled us & only recorded this one-minute bit, like those people having an online job interview who only dress from the waist up: suit jacket, white shirt & a tie, but if something unplanned prompts them to stand up in front of their webcam you realize they're in their underwear.

Hm. Would love to be optimistic here, but something tells me it’s not going down like “Hey, it’s the sad anniversary of John Lennon being gunned down by a psychopath....here’s a commercial cover song for all to buy!! Vinyl to follow!!”
