I didn't like the comment about Liam's weight but on the other hand Liam's tweets/comments have not been better than this. He can't play the victim card this time, he's no saint too. Having said that, they both should grown-up.

Hiding behind a podcast to dig him out on something he’s incredibly sensitive about. He even had to “remind” Matt to tell us about the XXLG gag, no balls to even say it himself. Not cool. Yeah, Liam has plenty to say but at least he has the mettle to put it out there and call him a c*nt as directly as he can. Didn’t enjoy the podcast, didn’t finish it. I’m done with all the Bono, McCartney, Cobain name dropping shite. Tell us about the music Noely, you’re better than this. If Liam's really sensitive about his weight, he'll lose it like he did last time won't he. Like I said, I've been in the same boat You really haven't.

Don't disagree on the Bono stuff but really there wasn't much of it. He's just asking questions which have been sent in on Instagram that Matt then selects, and a few from Matt too. The McCartney thing was quite funny and he was asked a question (by a listener) about it - I'd never heard the one about the Milan dressing room before, and then Matt asked when the first time Noel met him was and we got the same story of in 1994/95 and Twiggy answering the door etc. I think it was Matt who then talked about Nirvana because he mentioned Post Malone's covers. Not sure how you can answer a question about Nirvana without mentioning Cobain? In regards to 'hiding' - it's not really hiding if he's said it on a podcast which is then put out in the public realm, is it? I know we'd both rather nothing be said but do you mean it would be better if he actually tweeted Liam and called him Demi Roussos. FWIW, if Liam can call Noel a potato/midget/David Cameron (all funny), I think Noel can say Liam looks like Demi Roussos (which he did in that photo with the beard). Radio X/whoever else will use that as the headline because it's gold for clicks. Just like it is when Liam slags Noel or Sara off. They're both big boys (no pun intended), they can handle it. If Liam's really sensitive about his weight, he'll lose it like he did last time won't he. Like I said, I've been in the same boat (without the millions of £ to soften the blow, mind) - I'm sure he'll be fine. It is hiding, like a playground bully with his little bitches whispering behind someone’s back. Liam, as of this morning, knew nothing about it. So yeah, I’d rather he did tweet him about “not isolating himself from the sweet trolley.” No balls. Maybe Liam should sack off his top dollar immunologist and endocrinologist and just read the advice in this thread. Sorted. Oh, and no amount of millions can make up for debilitating rheumatoid pain. I’m not going to comment on his weight explicitly. But the podcast has been out since first thing Monday morning? Liam slags Noel off all of the time - does Noel get an alert every time it happens on Twitter/in an interview? It's exactly the same. I'd rather them not do it at all, to be clear, but I don't think it can be called hiding. You don't have to pay for the pod, Matt publicises it a lot on his Instagram and stuff. I don't really care if Liam is overweight or not. In 2017 he looked great. But he's three years older now and clearly touring as much as he has and generally just getting older is not going to help anyone - that's just life. If he can lose weight he will do won't he - he's done it before, anyone can do it. Just having the time and dedication to keep it up. Like most things in life - learning an instrument, learning a language or whatever. Some may find it easier than others obviously. Did he look big in that picture? Yes, he did. The beard doesn't help when it comes to Demi Roussos. Did Noel look stupid on his bike with that helmet? Yes (which Liam was laughing about last week and Matt and Noel themselves took the piss out of in the podcast).

If Liam's really sensitive about his weight, he'll lose it like he did last time won't he. Like I said, I've been in the same boat You really haven't. I grew up being bullied about my weight - for years. I started running at 16 and lost a lot of weight - probably too much - in the space of about 10 months. Since that age I've fluctuated. Never been fat again, but have put some weight on and lost some etc. I've always kept my running/gym up but positive of lockdown is that I've had more time to dedicate to my fitness and - though I wasn't worried about being overweight or anything before all this happened - this last two months or whatever it is has helped me be in the best shape physically (and mentally at least in that regard) for about four years. So no, maybe not exactly in the same boat as Liam, that multi-millionaire rockstar (who I'm pretty sure wouldn't have been bullied about his weight when he was younger, either). Am I supposed to feel sympathy cause he's piled on pounds and needs a shave? Noel's comment was funny. Liam's comments about him are funny. I don't buy the 'it's behind his back' argument because it was on a podcast which has been out for nearly three days. In the same sense, any time Liam slates Noel off in an interview or on Twitter (which Noel himself doesn't use - even if he has people who do) it's behind Noel's back. They're childish comments but people laugh at both of them. Probably says more about us than them, maybe.

Noel's least attractive quality has always been smugness, which isn't necessary to his wit (and in fact brings it down a notch). With Morgan egging him on (or vice versa), they are practically Heathers.

Sorry to hear about the bullying; that’s horrible. Hopefully you were fortunate enough not to have illnesses to make things so much more difficult, it was contained to your peer group and not brandished all over the net and your brother wasn’t sniggering about it with his mates behind your back. Still not sure why money’s relevant.

Luckily he did it only with his mates behind his back... Oh, wait, he (and his friends) haven't been running a public shaming campaign behind his back... Just on Twitter. Really? Do we still have to tak about who does the most idiotic comment? Some people, who veer more towards Liam feel offended on his behalf, and vice versa. It's going round in circles, really...

I don't get the behind your back comment as it was on a podcast which is put out to hear just like when Liam laughs about Noel's height or him being under Sara's thumb or whatever, it's on Twitter or in an interview which is broadcast for all to hear. Like I've said, I think they're both childish. If Liam really is really concious about his weight or look or whatever, then we know he'll do something like he did before. Not saying Noel should have said what he said, though I just don't think either side can get on a high horse about it.

With Morgan egging him on (or vice versa), they are practically Heathers. I agree with that. In this last podcast I really didn't get much of that though tbh. Like others have said, Matt called Noel out on some bullshit about Cobain for example. It's just those two talking and then putting it out there. The questions are asked by the people who listen to the podcast and then they usually form a basis for Matt asking another question or just a general conversation. Noel's got nothing to promote has he. He's just bored. I thought the Demi Roussos thing was funny in the same sense that when Liam calls Noel a potato it's funny. It's childish but I'm sure they can both take it. In this podcast he was asked about Nirvana and McCartney (at different points). So that's why they were mentioned. He was asked why Bono doesn't take his shades off and also if he'd ever seen Morrissey smile. I fully take on the point about him coming across smug (dunno, maybe you or I would if we were in that position) but i don't see how you can answer those questions without mentioning the people they've been asked about.

My only problem w Noel’s fatshaming comments is that he’s being very hypocritical about their feud. Noel likes to play a victim like Liam bullying him. Also he likes to insult him aiming to the most vulnerable parts. Choose one thing or another. Btw fatshaming isn’t cool, my sister had ED so I know that for sure. But I guess it’s hard to explain it to ppl of his age and upbringing so I’m not criticizing Noel for that.

No argument with you here, it’s just a game of ping pong ain’t it, taking on board each other’s points. I get what you’re saying about answering the submitted questions and therefore naming names, but you’ve been pretty selective. Many names were brought up, they definitely had a rough script to follow. Stella McCartney, Jagger, The Edge, bloke who lives down his street etc. He’s a name dropper, it’s in him. It’s not wrong, I just personally don’t like it. The behind his back thing, I guess if Noel wants to know what Liam has to say he’s one click away, rather than it being lost on the web like a podcast. As I said, yesterday morning he didn’t know. Maybe, by taking a walk he was trying to do something about it, unfortunately he got papped and shamed. Them’s the dice. You know yourself how much of a fan I am of Noel, I never miss the opportunity to go see him live. I was just disappointed in him I guess. On a positive note (I think), I’ve learned who Demi Roussos is. Never heard of him.

Noel may not have got himself to a polling station on Election Day and drawn a little cross by his local Conservative candidate’s box, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a Tory. As our very own Escapist said at the end of last year, Toryism is a frame of mind. And Noel reeks of it. This is genuinely one of the most ludicrous things I've ever read. It's nonsense. If you want to vote tory - and you have every right to do so, it's a free country - then you can do. If you don't, then that's fine too. Vote how you want, or don't vote. I always prefer to use a vote because people died for my right to do so but at the same time there's also the right not to. Noel said in the latest he hasn't voted for 10 years now. I don't agree with him doing that but it's his right. That doesn't make him a Tory. Because by that logic, anybody who doesn't vote Labour - in your eyes - is a Tory; whether they voted Green or Lib Dems or for Lord Buckethead. And that's a huge reason why Labour got so badly beat in the last election - this black and white, us v them attitude and trying to treat political parties like football teams. Yet the Momentum supporters can't/won't see it. So what's the point. I've been told I'm a Tory on here, despite being a lifelong Labour voter (for any election I've been able to vote in). And btw, what is 'toryism'? Please give me a definition? Wanting what's best for yourself/your family? Or do you think Noel is this ultra evil, tax-avoiding millionaire because he previously suggested people might be worried about their jobs after all this coronavirus stuff is over? Toryism is a state of mind and the the amount of Interviews Noel gives allows a window in to his. The way he talks about, money, politics, terrorism, celebrity and the way he treats people he considers to lower on the ladder than him does indeed reek of it. I may have this wrong but I always remember Noel telling a story about meeting Elton John? And trying to get Weller on the phone and Weller saying ‘You’ve gone to far mate’. It’s telling because no matter the status and wealth that Weller enjoys there’s still a bit of that lad from Woking in there. In my opinion Noel has none of that left, it’s why he participates in hatchet jobs in Vogue and has mates in the tabloids.

I hate it when people charge in, quote you, have a pop, then some time later edit/add to their post after the event to make it appear less aggressive. Luckily I quoted before the amendment. Or when people like your post then back down and unlike it later.
If you’re gonna stand up from nowhere, have the balls to stay there, it’s only a discussion while we’re bored ffs.
