I watched that documentary on Channel 4 last night about these anti vaccine people and honestly they're total idiots. They believe that Covid was made deliberately. Honestly they're absolutely stupid if that's what they really believe. I watched it because I wanted to see what they had to say. Canna bring myself to watch that - would be chucking things at the telly I fear.

I read on the BBC news pages that the boss of boss of NHS Providers says people in hospital with the Indian variant is raising but not very significantly and many of those in hospital in Bolton the worst hit by the variant were younger with very few fully vaccinated.

I watched that documentary on Channel 4 last night about these anti vaccine people and honestly they're total idiots. They believe that Covid was made deliberately. Honestly they're absolutely stupid if that's what they really believe. I watched it because I wanted to see what they had to say. I think that most people just repeat whatever narrative best fits their personal beliefs and the majority of them have no actual knowledge in the topic theyβre discussing, which is probably the case with what you saw in the documentary. However, for the sake of discourse, did any of these βidiotsβ base their beliefs in the Wuhan lab conducting gain-of-function research (altering of viruses in a controlled environment to make them more powerful/infectious) specifically on coronaviruses; or that the State Department was previously warned about safety issues at that same lab and three researchers from there being hospitalized prior to the outbreak with coronavirus type symptoms? Now Iβm not saying that anything was done deliberately or that the virus definitively leaked from the lab (although I think it did), but there are a lot of reasons for the informed mind to wonder what really fucking happened.

So the government are looking at a four week delay in easing the rest of the lockdown due to the Indian variant which I read that cases are still rising. Well, in my view they should delay the rest of the lockdown until the cases start to fall and take as long as it takes before even thinking about easing the rest of it.

Will get my first vaccination in 2 weeks, the other one at the end of July, just in time for my holiday (no worries, I'm staying in the Netherlands). As we say in Dutch: prik mij maar lek

So the lifting of last of the lockdown won't happen until until July now and not next Monday as first planned. Well let's hope that four weeks is enough time for the Indian variant cases to start falling then.

I think I may have been one of the first "regular people" in Texas to get it. First shot was Jan 2nd, second was Feb 2nd. Very mild side effects for a day or so. And really my new third arm helps with guitar playing!

Most people around me got/get vaccinated. No question at all, but there are still some who are hesitating. I do understand why, but then a negative test result isn't enough to go through this pandemic. I was surprised that more young people are under this category. They say "We're young and even if we get Covid-19, we won't get seriously ill, so better let this unknown stuff called vaccine". What they don't know, is it's not only for yourself, but to protect others as well. I hope your sister will change her mind. Got my first one and next month the second one. My friend in US was the first one who got vaccinated of all my friends. God bless America and their new President! I didn't have a side effects, only I was tired next day and got a bit of allergic reaction around the spot on my upper left arm where is vaccinated, but that's it. Bring on the second shot!

I read on the BBC news pages that the Covid epidemic is growing in England, scientists tracking it say with much of it being driven by younger people who are not yet vaccinated. Well, let's hope they'll get their vaccines when their turn comes.

From next Saturday on, masks will no longer be required with the exception of public transport and big events where 1.5 m can't be guaranteed.
Why wait until the 26th though? I mean we know it now, why not immediately?

All the restriction except keeping 1,5 metre distance from each other and wearing a face mask in a public transport, at airport, at station will be lifted from next week Saturday over here. I must say that I'll feel weird not to have to wear a mask in shops.

I read on the BBC World news pages yesterday that Covid cases in Brazil are still going up and the president of the country won't bring in social distancing rules. Sadly it's not surprising and I feel really sorry for the country having a president like him.

Beautiful people of Brazil deserve so much better. And who knows what crazy new variants might come out of there.

So our useless chancellor says he'll stop wearing a face mask as soon as possible. Well, I've got news for him I don't give a shit what he says because I'll still be wearing them whenever I'm out and about.
