Anyone’s coming to Vienna? Or anyone knows when do Twisted Wheel kick it off?

Anyone’s coming to Vienna? Or anyone knows when do Twisted Wheel kick it off? It says beginning at 20:00 on the location homepage and that was the same last time, when I saw Editors there. So I assume Twisted Wheel will start at 20:00 and Liam at 21:00. Not later, hopefully, as it's a "school" night!
I think that was the same at all the other venues lately? 20:00 and then 21:00?

Two fantastic nights in Rome and Milan, full of energy and full of memories. Very hard to get back to “normal” life!

I thought if Noel had vocal inflammation like Liam, he probably wouldn't have sung for more than two years. Liam is a fucking warrior

Thank you, already in the venue, already buzzing. Looking forward to Twisted Wheel as well. This is my first proper Liam gig, there’s hopefully many more to come in the future.

Phew Vienna was pretty Strange. He entered the stage in a bad Mood. Restarted Rock'n'Roll star, cause someone threw a cup of beer at him. You could tell his voice was strained, but he pulled it of pretty well. Some folks tried their best to piss him of (crowdsurfing and flip the bird to him). There was a moment I was really concerned He would leave thanks to These Bastards and the voice problems. Best piece of the Set for me was "once", "the River" and "Gas Panic" in a row. Otherwise it was filled with classics, a Bit too much for me as I would have prefered some songs from As you were over the Oasis Standards.
All in all good but that band needs a backbone. Today Liam was Not in a good Mood and instead of really giving their best they really seemed insecure as fuck, like they were afraid of him and His reactions.

And it was really great to see Liam and bonehead together! Boneheads guitar really lifted the songs to a higher level.

I did not see much as I was in the back, I could feel that he was tense at the beginning, voice and mood, but he seemed to get better. Anyway I enjoyed that immensely and seem to have misplaced my voice.
I took a friend along, a rookie, who only had seen Noel once - ONCE! ONCE! ONCE! - as U2 support and was curious enough to accompany me. I'm happy to say she also had fun.
We had dinner before in a beer restaurant around there and I could slap myself, as I did not recognize Drew McConnell and Christian Madden sitting there at the bar until they left! I would have been to shy to speak to them anyway, but still!

Okay, just got back to the hotel.
Liam’s voice was indeed still pretty strained, but to be honest, it has its own charm this way. The setlist was lacking solo/BE material, but I certainly wasn’t complaining throughout the gig. The absolute highlight for me was, as expected, The River. It works especially well live, the drums are heavy and it fits Liam’s voice very much. Just like in Italy, and probably all the other locations, Once was just as well-received as the big Oasis classics, so there’s no debate about that.
The atmosphere itself was good, don’t get me wrong, but the fucking phones still grind my gear. First of all, don’t stand in front of me with all 7 feet of yours if all you’re going to do throughout the concert is just adjust the filters on your shit pictures. Second, I came here to see LIAM, not your fucking auntie and sister, so do me a favour and don’t wave around FaceTime in the air because nobody’s interested.
But I enjoyed it nevertheless, really don’t get me wrong, everyone was singing along, and there was some action at the front, which I’ll make sure to join next time.
I liked the venue as well but I’m not sure what to think of the sound. It wasn’t half as loud as I’d thought it’d be and while Liam and his band pulled off a great show, Twisted Wheel sounded somehow a bit bland. I’ll have to give them another chance because they seemed like nice guys.
Overall, it was a great night and I cannot wait for my next Liam show. A few Sziget headline spots are still open, so I’m hoping for the best.

Good gig. Voice is still hoarse (I'd really like to catch Liam once without a throat problem in a winter tour ), but he did well. The power is there and it's still a remarkable thing to me how he gained back the voice - and the confidence in it. Pulled it off rather nicely. Started the gig definitely moody. To start it off, some moron nearly had a hit with a cup of... something, and Liam is seemingly very touchy when it comes to this white biohazard parka or what Then he spent most of Halo with quarreling the sound tech. He even went out to the side and had a chat afterwards. To be fair, from Shockwave on the vocals were turned up more, for sure. Band is playing much tighter than last year, there is more punch. Bonehead's chainsaw rhythm playing helps, as do the backup singers. There are still some surprising mistakes (I'd need to re-watch if anyone uploaded Wall of Glass, but there was some confusion after the first guitar break). Once is an absolute highlight live. It gets a crowd reaction like Oasis classics, and that's not an easy thing to reach. Massive singalong, Liam loves it, the crowd loves it, what can go wrong? The River blows the studio version out of the water. Musically maybe that was the best - real menacing vibe. It's also a good decision to follow it up with Gas Panic. Happy for Be Still instead of Why Me? Why Not. Though the latter would've been welcome as well. Slightly shorter gig than the one in Milan, no Columbia or Wonderwall. The setlist is somewhat strangely paced, I think only 12 songs before the encores - the "main" setlist could well do with +2-3 songs (preferably solo - Gone, One of Us, Now That I've Found You, Greedy Soul could all be nice additions). Compared to the usual Viennese crowds, this was quite a lively one! Also I don't remember Gasometer ever being packed so much for a gig I attended there (maybe when Oasis played it. Still my favourite gig). Usually you can easily get in front of the stage and the crowd is not too overbearing - now I got in about 19.40 and there was little chance of getting any good spots. Though due to the outlay of Gasometer the sides are rather good as well. Great evening. Not as special as last year's one in Barolo, but there the astonishing landscape and venue add a lot to the experience.

BTW so true about phones. Not that I don't do 5-6 quick snaps during gigs, but when there's facetiming and all kinds of shit like that, it can be well annoying. I remember that at a Travis gig an idiot started to record with a tablet, successfully blocking the view for pretty much everyone behind. Fran Healy stopped the gig and told him to fuck off and put it away. The break pretty much ruined Writing To Reach You though

Glad to hear you guys had a great time last night!
About phone...what's the point to watch a gig through your phone while you're at a gig yourself? It IS nothing, but ANNOYING.

You guys ever went to concert that used Yondr? www.overyondr.com/ - it's a pouch and you have to put your phone in for the full gig and can only unlock it afterwards. I haven't been to one myself, but Dave Chappelle was in Bangkok recently and used it for his shown - I didn't go there though, so no experience yet. But I love the idea and it would be great if more venues adopted this, not just artists.

^^ I had that at the Jack White gig a couple of years back which was really a cool thing in my opinion and also worked out well for a 6000 crowd. This should be used more often!
Also get pissed off if folks have nothing to do but take pictures/film troughout a whole concert. I take maybe 1-2 pictures aswell but thats it and only for my own memories of that day.
+ Vienna I love your city and only met nice people there. What about that stuff with throwing drinks to the stage at Liam? C'mon you know...

Even worse when it's a fuckin big guy in front of you who is holding his phone up to block even more view. My first Oasis gig was in 1997 - no smartphones or cellphones around - just people enjoying the gig. Miss that!

Oh, and my mum enjoyed it a lot as well. Contrary to me, she was trying to stay relatively far away from the stage, so guess who was the one who got pushed closer and closer to it... A fight even broke out next to her, so she had a blast too.😁
