The instrumental (parts of it) was played on TalkSport the other morning.
I really like the bass and reckon they could’ve done more with it in the 12” mix, extended the intro or something like the way New Order do with their releases.

Picture disc arrived as well. I´m still waiting for my picture dics. Maybe it will arrive today I bet it will arrive at your door today, chamu. I had to pre-order a picture disc and a black vinyl separate as I was a bit late for pre-ordering, so I paid 9 Euro for postage each (total 18 Euro for postage!) and they delivered them separately too. Black vinyl arrived yesterday afternoon and the picture dis in the evening.

I think it's a nice ep. Rattling Rose is great, Sail on is a beautiful little song. Black Star Dancing I had to get used to, but I don't mind it now.

Can't get over how good this was live. It sounds massive. Really takes the song up another level. Props to the band as well. This is what having such a tight-knit, quality group of musicians can do.

Noel says in an interview with that Edith lady at Isle of Wright that it's his most successful (solo) song to date. Can anybody explain what he is on about?

I think he's literally just saying it to bait parka monkeys and cause a bit of a stir on social media. By all accounts BSD has been a bit of a flop by Noels standards.

I don't go to clubs, but if it's getting play in clubs then Noel gets paid for that as well. Just a thought.

The idea that Noel may have the slightest interest in "baiting parka monkeys" makes no sense to me Probably it's simply that the number of physical sales of the EP is higher than the number of physical sales of any of his previous singles. Which totally makes sense because the EP includes 3 original, non-album songs while the singles had at most one. Of course, that does not make BSD his most "sucessful" song in terms of repercussion (without a doubt, WAL and Holy Mountain were much more sucessful, as their chart run proves)

Maybe it's the song that's got him laid most.
Success is an odd size.

I still love this song, but I wish it was louder, though, you know, like, the tempo was louder, and it was a ballad but faster.....
Thanks.

Did you see the double-take the hosts did? A lot of Noel Gallagher comments can be reversed to mean the opposite. He does a lot of self-mocking this way. Ever come home from a really, bad, rotten, no-good day and when asked 'how did your day go', replied, 'brilliant'?

The EP didn’t chart at all, but I assume that was because it was chart ineligible given you only need to sell a few hundred copies to make it into the physical sales charts (where Liam got to number 1 with Shockwave). Really have grown to love this tune; reminds me of a genre type I can't really describe, but almost sounds like

I love the song. Dancable, fun, good for Summer. I'd pay top dollar to watch a tour doc of Noel and James Murphy's ego over a 5 month tour. That would be something worth watching. In a while will have Noel vs Billy on the road. Not the 90's, but it may prove interesting. Or not.
