Good work Jim - looking forward to what Richard Norris has done.
This was never, ever going to be new material - this is Ignition management and Marcus 'Play it very, very safe, and then a bit more safe to be make sure' Russell after all!

Which one did he remix? Do we know that? No, we don’t know what either Richard or The Reflex have mixed, they haven’t said. Richard did put up this description up in reply to me when Who Built The Moon was due for release.

Well if it turns out to only be remixes I’ll still be bagging it.
Gave the CY remix EP a spin for the first time in ages tonight and there’s some really good stuff on there I’d forgotten about.
And I approve of a dash of krautrock.

So the best case scenario at this point is Wait and Return possibly being one new song on this EP and a few remixes making up the rest.
This will be a massive tease if we don't get anything new now lol

It’s quite hard to keep track of them all to be honest with some not even getting proper physical releases. I think my favourite is probably Shoot A Hole Into The Sun. X

How anyone can listen to all these remixes is beyond me

Got to agree with that. The UNKLE mix of AKA... What a Life!, the Beyond The Wizards Sleeve versions of Riverman and Ballad Of The Mighty I are all amongst my favourite NG releases and the Dub version of Its A Beautiful World by Andrew Weatherall is outstanding.

There’re definitely some which haven’t had physical releases or have only been played in part on the radio. Some were genuinely very limited editions too, so expensive to acquire now. Even the Dream On single can go for £30+! Jim will know the details of the stuff that hasn’t been properly released. X

The Charlatans' Tim Burgess also released a solo album for RSD in 2018. So yeah, people do release new stuff for RSD only.

Just given that UNKLE remix a listen on a decent stereo for the first time in ages and it is very good. Gutted I didn’t get that white label vinyl at the time now. X

Well it’s always fun to dream up a cool and unique Noel release. In one week all will be revealed.

X The only remix which has not been given an official release is the Psychmagik Dub version of The Right Stuff. This is the one I was thinking of. Stupid that it wasn’t on the CY Remix EP instead of all the completely pointless instrumentals. X

Hmm, the cynical part of me suggests a RSD release will be the material recorded in the Netflix session. Please. That acoustic version of Broken Arrow was fantastic. (I normally loathe Broken Arrow) I just watched that Netflix session yesterday. Was fairly disappointing, imo.

WBTM came out 1 year 4 months ago, a remix release window is closed and it's time for HFB LP4. Where the City Meets the Sky released 7 months after CY.
