I've posted this on other threads, I really don't think size is why LG or other bands choose Terminal 5.... it makes sense with his band setup... "In New York City, Terminal 5, a 3,000-person venue, has an advantage over similarly sized local theaters. Because it's owned by a local promoter, Bowery Presents, much of the infrastructure — stage hands, lighting, sound, security, things a band would have to pay for elsewhere — is in place. This means, Barger says, bands "can make a higher percentage of the earnings in that one room than in any other room in NYC." So even if your favorite mid-sized band would prefer to play a larger venue, one with different acoustics, or one in a different part of town, Terminal 5 can be difficult to resist." www.npr.org/sections/therecord/2011/04/07/134851302/the-concert-ticket-food-chain-where-your-money-goesI don't doubt any of that but I still don't like the venue all that much. I'd have picked Webster Hall (which is guess is closing or some shit) or Irving Plaza. I'd love Bowery Ballroom but that is way too small. Great atmosphere though. Never seen a bad show there.

It might just be me but it seems everything has become more complicated... venues, charts, recording... Not just you. I'm 37, so I've seen music - at least in the UK - go from 'Top Of The Pops is everything' to where we are now; *insert description of current music industry climate here, 'cause I can't*.

looks like a lot of sellouts on this North American run of shows. If you're liam I would think you'd have to be pleased. He's selling out bigger venues solo vs. beady eye. Already going to philly show but I broke down and bought a ticket on the secondary market for NYC as well. Has to be done.

How can you still think it's too big if he sold it out? Obviously it's not if he sold it out .. you could argue it was to small more than you can to large at this point. Forget about beady eye .. Liam has the name. It's just a vibe. Ever been there? I despise Terminal 5.... have to go all the way to the west side of nowhere... no pre-show bars or anything around there. Going to be freezing by the water too in November but must be done! It is what it is - hahaha. Has the show sold out yet?

I think this is amazing that the full USA tour and the UK tour are sold out. I know the venues in the USA are not big but even Noel was not selling out the gigs in the USA. (this is not a shot at Noel just being honest) Liam should feel good and realize how much we all loved him and missed him. He always had to put up with being called an asshole or the Gallagher without talent and we all know thats not true at heart no matter which team you are on. Looking back Beady eye was a mistake but I think without the Beady eye mistake we wouldnt have realized what we lost. I think most of us took Oasis for granted and then when it was gone had a big black hole in our minds and heart. Liam was as much Oasis as anyone else in the band. We all wanna try and get that Oasis magic back in our lives as much as we can and i think thats the reason Liam is selling so good. Its as close as we will get to reliving the Oasis experience. Either way you dont know what you had until it was gone and we lost our RnR Star for along time.

What dates do we know for sure is sold out?

I dont know where spamneli saw this.Even on viagogo there is only a few tickets . This is on the Riv's official site. I can still buy up to 6 tickets. Considering I live in Chicago, and YOU DON'T, I think I'm a little bit more clued in. But test it for yourself if you don't believe me, and all you have is a bad pun. link

Honestly, I'd be shocked if his Riv show did sell out. This is his third gig in the last 4 months in Chicago. The first he walked off before he did the encore that the whole crowd knew was coming (while showing up to the gig pissed off), and the second was Lolla when he walked off the stage after 4 songs.
By my count, going to Liam's site and going through the links they provide to the official venue sites, San Francisco, Minneapolis, and Chicago are not sold out.
But Liam did incredibly well on the east coast and filled some really large and nice venues, and that's definitely a good sign.

Looks like Denver is sold out. Just looked into getting tickets, no dice. I'm sad to miss this having moved away a few months ago but I can testify that the Gothic is an excellent venue. Johnny Marr there in '15 was a night I won't forget.

I'm going to DC and it's been sold out for weeks ... hell even terminal in NY is sold out .. great to see! Chicago isn't sold out. The Rivs practice, like most venues, is that the more tickets are available, the more you can max out on tickets. Like if it was close to sold out, I wouldn't be able to max out on 6 tickets (which is the default), it would cap me at 4 or 3 or 2. That's been that places' practice for as long as I can remember. Take Minneapolis, where the max is 6. You can tell it's closer to selling out selling out, mainly because it caps you at 4 rather letting you get to the full 6. That's a fairly easy way to test how close a gig is to selling out. The more you get capped, the closer the all out. Once again, I only said that San Francisco, Chicago, and Minneapolis were not sold out. I believe everything else is sold out.

I would imagine that fans want to see Liam for the Oasis songs, not his solo album.

I know its not 100% but for the most part is sold out. Ill be in DC also as long as i can walk by then. The saddest part is its General addition and its seats so you gotta get there way early which isnt norm a big deal but the shape im in thats going to be a big ask. Almost wish we would have set seats for this one because i dont wanna be in the back not seeing anything since i prob wont be standing the whole time. Its so sad really im a mess lol

Im sure you are right for the most part but you know what the more people hear the new stuff i think they are liking and wanting to hear that more and more. Id prefer a heavy Oasis show just because i was never lucky enough to see them live but his new stuff is pretty darn good so far
