Most have said that Liam has changed for this new solo challenge because he believes it's his last chance.
And while I don't disagree, I do think it goes deeper that that:
I think Liam is essentially auditioning for an Oasis reunion, and if this project goes well including his voice and actions when touring then I think he'd convince brother Noel.
At this pace, the reunion will soon be imminent.

Even if they agreed to it for the money it'd all end in tears pretty quickly, they are both too stubborn. |

Lock them two in a room for a day so they can throw all them shots at each other. If both leave alive, they made up.
I can see what you mean though, and i would not be surprised if that´s a thought that goes through Liam´s mind and to be fair Noel notices that his brother solo´s career kinda has had a good start, Wall of Glass was a good start. He noticed it so much he even throw that shot on IG the other day. But noticing it does not mean he wants to get near his brother, but the only way there´s even a remote chance is if Liam proves he cares about something being a success for once.
But the problem is more than that, both are at fault, a grudge like this can´t be only one guys fault. Liam comes across as a dick, which to be fair he is, but Noel can be one as well and the key point is that they are both stubborn as fuck.
They will never reform or if they do, it´s because of something major in their life, something they have in common. I said the other day, but i only seem them getting close again if something happens to Peggy. It´s sad, but it´s the only thing i seem making them connected again because they are both close to their mother.

I don't see a full tour happening but if they would it would end up being 3 or 4 nights at some huge venue. I'm crazy enough I'd prob fly to the U.K. From the states for it

I think it needs Liam to be more of a success or at least equal to Noel for Noel to want to do it. 4 years ago an Oasis reunion would have been pointless and shit. At the minute (off stage issues aside) it would give us genuinely more great Oasis performances, and why the fuck would anyone be on this forum if they didnt want that? |

I don't want to do a brother comparison, but I don't think there's anything that backs up the above statement. Liam has a long way to go before he's as successful in his solo career, as Noel's been. It obviously could happen. But, Liam hasn't even released his album yet, and you're saying that he's had the same level of success as someone who's about to release their third? |

Inductees are expected to perform at it, and many bands that no one thought would ever get back together, do. On the off-chance that they do make it in, I would look toward that possibility. |

Stats tells only part of the story. There are things that couldn't be reflected in those. When you talk about something great, first thing comes up won't be how many platinum albums sold. The fact Liam is able to create this much buzz before releasing an album, to get so much love from fans even after Beady Eye, is something Noel can never match. And Noel knows that. Noel needs numbers to prove himself more than Liam. |

And Sarah is another factor. I actually think Noel might have thought about the matter seriously at least a couple of times but i reckon she might not want him to go through the trouble of being around Liam again often and for the sake of a stable family life he sticks with solo.
I´m happy NG has a happy marriage but he fucking changed so much due to her. It´s like he does everything she wants. That´s never what a relationship should be about, you should just remain yourself.
There are more than one reasons, we could be here all night making them up.
