The thing is, Liam is a frontman. And a fucking good one at that. His presence is incredible. Noel is stood there plodding out those songs and Liam still has that Oasis vibe at his gigs. Even if his does remain the same all year, its still a better show. I agree with that, but their setlists are still the same, which is why you made this thread did you not? I had 2 different experiences seeing Beady Eye and Noel live in 2011/2012, seeing Beady Eye front row was a loud good time. While seeing Noel play his songs I almost bawled my eyes out a couple times. All Liam has done to "change" his setlist was play another song from his album to promote it, of course he'd play it at some point, and play Wonderwall again. I love both brothers, but Liam has just started touring, hes 10 gigs in. I'm holding out til his NA Tour to "compare" them. Noels been playing gigs since 2012 and given us some nice surprises since then too. Its way too soon for a thread like this. I didnt make the thread dude

he also said he hated bands who changed up their setlists and preferred to know exactly what to expect from a band before they perform soooooooo.

Noel has also painted a picture of Liam being a musical luddite. Now Liam is about to release an album that is - on early reckoning - slightly left of centre, whilst Noel continues on his very traditional, borderline conservative (beige?) beaten path.

How do you know it's the 'traditional' path as you put it? Had anyone heard anything new from Noel yet? Bit early to jump the gun with that one methinks.

The Liam v Noel stuff is tiring for sure but the worst thing on this forum is the bellend who talks to himself non stop about pikey races. Ridiculous it's tolerated. It's a she, and she's been a member on here since 2002 so leave her alone please. So, if someones been here a long time they are free to spam the forum with drivel? Am I not allowed say that as I've not been here a long time? You can't seriously be pulling that card!?!? I'm confused and lacking sleep right now but I can't say what I said because the poster has been a member since 2002? Of course I will apologise to site admin for straying off topic but I stand over what I said as that posters ramblings are far worse than the Liam v Noel debate which in all fairness sometimes throws us some giggles. And this 2002 comment is leaving me puzzled if I'm being honest. Why is it relevant? Why does it matter? The poster has for a long long time being holding forum wide conversations with themselves on absolute nonsense but you choose to ignore that and come at me with the 2002 comment. Baffling. I'm happy to take a rap on the knuckles from the mods for mentioning a forum problem in a Liam v Noel setlist thread but I think we know the problem isn't me..... Guess I'm not here since 2002.

Liam and Noel should technically be touring at the same time. I wonder if they'll ever play the same nights? Here's hoping they stick around to play a song together just for the fans.

Does she post it in the middle of threads about other things and derail threads? No. You are entitled to your opinion of course, I'm merely making the point that the member you called out is one of the original members of this forum and has consistently posted on here for 15 years whilst others have come and gone.

Derailing threads happens daily on the L4E forum so it's not to be unexpected on here and I've acknowledged I'm off topic, I'm not doing this to wind people up. I don't get why you mention the poster being an original member? Are you trying so say something to me about original members? Are they above being criticised by nobodies like me? Does it matter if someone posts for 15 years or not? Surely if someone is posting inane shite another poster has a right to mention it or does them being here 15 years give them special status and make them immune from being called out? Maybe I'm getting this wrong, surely all posters are pretty equal? I've not seen anything on the forum rules about original members being above everyone else but if I've read the rules wrong I'm happy to be corrected on that. I'm happy to leave it at that as I think my point has gotten across to people whether they will admit it our not and this is an argument that could easily get out of hand and I'm simply a big Oasis fan who mostly enjoys the forum. I mean, if I was an asshole I could simply devote my free time to criticising pikey racing at every single turn, not in a trolling way of course and all without resorting to being abusive as that would be against forum rules.

A thread like this is to pour oil in a flaming pan. Noel was a support act and Liam's first ever solo album wasn't released yet. They both are playing Oasis songs. I don't have a problem with that. I'm on this forum to enjoy music and exchange my thoughts on Gallaghers and other bands/music with fellow members. This is a forum where you can discuss your thoughts with others, but like Lennon2217 said in other thread, I'm seeing only hate and endless-critic by some members on Liam/Noel. "... vs ..." is a stupid thing to discuss, especially it's about the band/former band members you (used to) love. And if others love what you don't love, you should be able to deal with it. Cheers. +1 There should be a "Thank you Liam for singing Don't Look Back in Anger for the first time!" thread and a "Thank you Liam for singing an acoustic song at your gigs!" thread instead a "Liam vs. Noel" setlist thread. I mean Liam did things on his short festival tour that i dreamed of when he was in his prime with Oasis. There was no way he would have done this in 1995 or 1996 - so am I the only one who thinks this is absolutely amazing?

I think this interview,is the best answer for most of the topics on here. He knows his limitations with his voice and his past gigs. I don't think he's changed that much, I think he's just being more honest and vulnerable in his interviews.he's not an idiot, he knows that this album and tour has to be a success. Obviously, there is going to be comparisons and competitions between his album and Noels; but that will be the press egging that on. Personally, I don't really care what they're setlist are at gigs. I'm psyched to have both of them releasing albums and touring! It's a great year to be an Oasis fan!

Anyone else find this embarrassing and uncomfortable.. Noel warming up for U2 in a stadium singing Champagne Supernova and other than these 2, not a single other fuck was given that day.... lol. Noel is such a below average frontman. Oasis can fill that stadium and get a full on sing-along. I know it's U2 fans but still... He can't feel that great about this...it's such a decline. This has to give him the itch. It has to. http://instagram.com/p/BWnenkzgQsF

Like you said Oasis can fill that themselves quite easily and have a crowd singing every single word. I dont see what Noel gains from supporting them either. Isnt like anyone is going to not know who Noel Gallagher is and if they arent singing along, they obviously dont like his songs and aren't going to change their opinion based on fucking What A Life that they might not have heard before.
