I'm really enjoying the way Liam is mixing it up slightly each gig. This is something that I disliked most about OASIS and Noel's HFB... Noel will play the same setlist 87 Gigs in a row.
Liam is finally alone and he's mixing it up which makes u wonder....Liam has probably always wanted to change up the songs a bit each gig and keep it Fresh.
Im loving it....it's one of the main reasons I love Pearl Jam. They change their setlist every show.
This is another reason i think over time Liam will get bigger crowds than Noel or at least similar numbers but a way better reaction and energy with his shows...you can see it already from the Glastonbury gig.

Hard to say. Noel has played arenas in the UK. That is a big deal. We haven't seen Liam do that. He still might but it'll be much much later in the album cycle.

Just a couple of facts. First of all: Liam played 9 gigs so far and his album isn't even out yet. A bit early to judge his whole tour & compare it to Noel's, isn't it? Also... Liam has played exactly the same setlist every night so far, bar DLBIA in place of LF at Glastonbury and the addition of Chinatown+Wonderwall at his latest gig. That's hardly "mixing his setlist up almost every gig" as you've said in another thread. It's not a dig at Liam of course, it's just getting your facts straight. I dunno why I'm wasting my time on this...

Noel is doing the same show time and time again and its not an interesting enough one. I said before one of the best things to come out of a successful Liam album will be Noel having to change his lazy approach. Looks like i could be wrong.

Liam has also played Rock n Roll Star, Morning Glory and Wonderwall again, played in almost every Oasis gig since 2004 and in Beady Eyes last tour. What if Liam plays only those 2 Be Here Now songs all tour round? What then? We have to wait til the end of the year to put a fair setlist fight up.

Can we not have a setlist fight at all?

A thread like this is to pour oil in a flaming pan. Noel was a support act and Liam's first ever solo album wasn't released yet. They both are playing Oasis songs. I don't have a problem with that. I'm on this forum to enjoy music and exchange my thoughts on Gallaghers and other bands/music with fellow members. This is a forum where you can discuss your thoughts with others, but like Lennon2217 said in other thread, I'm seeing only hate and endless-critic by some members on Liam/Noel. "... vs ..." is a stupid thing to discuss, especially it's about the band/former band members you (used to) love. And if others love what you don't love, you should be able to deal with it. Cheers.

And a fucking good one at that. His presence is incredible. Noel is stood there plodding out those songs and Liam still has that Oasis vibe at his gigs. Even if his does remain the same all year, its still a better show.

I haven't been combing through the setlists gig by gig, but I'm not recalling much of a change to Liam's setlist at all? Maybe I missed it but what varying gig to gig has he been doing?

I wonder if there's ever been a time when themightyeye is about to post a provocative Liam v Noel post and just thought 'better leave it' and closes his laptop. I doubt it.
The amount of bullshit threads and posts you have to sift through from this member is unreal.

Liam's concerts are better than Noel's gig. Liam has energy, charisma, his show is very rock n Roll, big sounds. Noel concerts are monotonous and boring ...

Let´s not fucking forget that Noel has two solo albums and has quite a few hits from both of them and that pretty much takes a good part of the setlist. Liam needs to mix it up, because right now he really has no other choice since it seems like he´s never gonna sing Beady Eye stuff.
And it´s not like Liam is mixing it up that much, barring this Serbia concert where he did Chinatown and Wonderwall and Glastonbury where he did DLBIA, it was the same fucking set list for many concerts in the row. And he insisted with A Capella for ages, fucking rehearse the entire song. Same for Wonderwall.
Let both brothers do their thing, i quite understand why Noel does not mix the setlist all that much. He already has two successful solo records and he has a 3rd coming soon, that leaves pretty much no space for changing it and do the occasional rare Oasis tune he never did.

Are we seeing a lie here?

I think a lot of people here seem to have a bug up their ass about this bc it's just a simple thread to talk and compare setlist so why don't we all calm the hell down. You can compare and have fun without bad mouthing and attacking people saying their thread sucks or this or that. Come on now you only make yourself look stupid by doing that

If the title had "and," "Liam and Noel" setlists and the OP literally wanted to answer a question, instead of making a thread into a pointless argument, then it'd be fine.

It's no different then if you say you like vanilla vs chocolate. I unno either way it's not something people should be bent out of shape over. It's no saying who's setlist sucks. Everyone will have different opinions. Who knows maybe I'm feeling extra positive today lol
