Adding streaming to the charts was literally the worst idea ever. Some guy probably said this about CDs back in the 80s. The chart company has got to move with the times. Physical sales have been nose-diving for years... You are buying CDs in the same way you buy vinyls. Its very very different. When one artists occupies almost all of the top 20 you cant tell me that something isnt wrong.

Yeah, streaming is fine and dandy but when a whole album charts for a week that's not really an indicator of true popularity.

I agree the counting mechanism needs to be tweaked and the Chart Company are in fact considering this - e.g. only singles should count towards the singles chart, not album tracks - but you can't discount streaming entirely.

U.K. Charts are tomorrow so there's every chance he will will chart quite high because the initial sales is very close to the charting day so the impact is greater. This is good marketing from his mrs

But I might be wrong, I don't know these things haha

Every other song he will be competing with will have been on sale for 7 times longer in the week. I'm thinking it will end up somewhere around 80-100 position in the chart.

The highest Noel had was a 15 but that was in 2011.
BOTMI was a 54.
Not the best of signs.

Everyone, download it today, it's only 99p, either from itunes, or amazon, i guarantee if every oasis fan downloaded it today it'd get to number 1 ... it'd be ace.

Point was with the Gallagher is that everyone usually surges towards the opening few days then sales slacken off..it's getting heavy radio play though on all the big stations

Nice to see that it was on deezer right after the radio premiere. DGSS is still not deezer but BE is and all Noel solo stuff. They also have very nice collection of Oasis stuff there like Familiar to Millions and Masterplan and BHN remastered edition with 2 bones dics including demos and b-sides / live versions.

I hope it don't hurt the album sales having it come out so long after the single bc you know the buzz will die down by then. Right now people would be mad to buy it!
