Personally, I think that Wall of Glass will for sure get on the chart somehwere, hopefully break the Top 50, but not go to Top 40 because it's too rock and not overtly pop enough for the general mainstream crowd these days.
That and the fact that they released it so late in the week, that there will only be 30 hours worth of downloads counted for this next chart edition, not 7 days worth. Hoping that sales remain steady next week, but honestly, the bulk of the downloads and streams will probably be in the first few days.

I reckon in the 20's in the UK, but would love for it to do better.

I've never cared about anything less than I care about chart positions.

Is it available to download on iTunes now? I just tried and it keeps asking for my password, hoping I haven't bought it 6 times!

As it's released on a Wednesday not that high, top 50 if you're lucky.

I think Liam will have more success on his own than Beady Eye ever did.. If Liam can get a top 10 hit off this album it would be a huge success.

It needs to be put in some kind of TV advert of something, as they did with AKA...WAL. It would fit perfectly.

I've never cared about anything less than I care about chart positions. Yes, but a big part of Oasis' legacy was their ascent from small indie to global rock sensations. They dominated not only critic' opinions but the charts as well, for well over a decade. 1/3 households in the UK owned an Oasis record in the late 90s. Their commercial success was mammoth. Plus, it's just nice to see your favorite act show themselves as still be artistically and commercially fruitful. That they still have what it takes to pop into the mainstream and make people take notice.

I hope not having the album come out for so long will kill its chart spot because people's excitement will have died down by then. I hope not but I would have release the single and within a month the album. Guess they know what they are doing!

Also here in the USA they need to get his album and single easy to find on iTunes bc when you type his name in nothing comes up or it's all of Noel's music. It's really hard to find

Currently #14 on iTunes
Can't see it going in higher than the low 40's
Think his album will make a top 3 debut but can't see it having any longevity. It depends on how strong his singles are and the amount of airplay

With streaming being counted toward sales, it's difficult for them to compete on the singles chart.

Adding streaming to the charts was literally the worst idea ever.

Would have been perfect if album launch was in the next couple of weeks, loads of Father's Day sales. NG released just before Mother's Day last time.

Adding streaming to the charts was literally the worst idea ever. Some guy probably said this about CDs back in the 80s. The chart company has got to move with the times. Physical sales have been nose-diving for years...

Gotta be top 20 in the UK at least no? It's good enough.
If not it's all fucked..even without Sheeran doing it!

I don't know how charts work now. Who even cares? Indeed. All sorts of crap count towards chart placement now. Charts are irrelevant now for the most part. It might have been more relevant in the past when radio was the main method of listening to music and getting plenty of airplay was important. Now everyone has a phone in their pocket and can put the song on whenever they want, in a dozen different apps.

If Ed Sheeran can occupy numbers 1-20 in the top 40 IN A SINGLE WEEK then the singles chart is a joke. I'd expect Liam to crack the top 40 but not by much. Maybe #30-35 but it doesn't really matter. Noel got to #15 or something with his highest charting single and went 3 x Platinum. It's about longevity - if Liam can stay on the top 100 for more than 2 months then he will get a Platinum album.

I think if his tour goes well he will have a #1 album. Beady Eye had almost two #1's but had some bad luck.
