Great news. Maybe we'll get a chart battle with Noel next year?!

Noel is going to have some fun with this.
I'm interested to see what he comes out with.

Are labels this desperate for talent?
I can't imagine a scenario where I'd consider signing Liam to a record deal and I love the guy. He's probably giving up a lot in this deal sadly.

I just there will be a single and after a week the album. No single announcement, two months later the release and 4 months later the album. The release 'strategy' (if there even was one) of Chasing Yesterday was a joke.

That was the right decision for him. Now he needs to work hard on those recording sessions, keep an open mind, lay down any expectations, stop thinking about past successes and just focus on this new phase in general.

That seems to be the UK team in the pic and the announcement mentions the Warner Bros UK. But I'm hoping this extends to the US Warner Bros also - when he was in LA a month or so back, I speculated it might be a handful of labels that have LA-based headquarters, and indeed, Warner Bros is headquartered in Los Angeles. So that bodes well for an actual real release that has backing and distribution, something the BE releases never had here.

The release 'strategy' (if there even was one) of Chasing Yesterday was a joke. All Oasis related releases have been a joke going back to 2008. You can't release a song to radio/tv/internet and release it officially 3-4 weeks later and expect it to do well. That's why TSOTL only got to #3. Heavily bootlegged for a month solid. I like the surprise, sudden release drops. You get a rush from it. There is a spark.

I think the best strategy would be to announce the first single a week in advance for a midnight launch on iTunes/Amazon/Google Play. Don't have it on Spotify or YouTube for at least 24 hours to maximise sales, but get it played on radio so people are aware of it.
