Twitter tells me it was exactly 3 years ago Liam's Reading set was shown live. That was when I knew the comeback was really on. The crowd looked full of people who wouldn't have been alive when Morning Glory came out and Liam was like a man possessed. Ha yeah. I was shocked how many of the crowd who were born in the late 90s/early 00s were singing lines to Oasis classics. People who would've been like max. 10 or 11 when Oasis split up.

Ok thanks but it's a a shame if he hasn't been in the studio. Mind you it's anyone's guess if he has or not though. But either way I'm looking forward to hearing some new music when ever that maybe. He also tweeted that he was at Abbey Road studios not long ago. Yeah I know he said that he was in Abby Road studios recently. I wonder how far he's got with the new recordings.

I know people don't like the tune but I'd love to hear it again personally.

I actually don't mind Hung In A Bad Place. It's better than A Bell Will Ring. However I think it would be a bit strange if Liam started singing Gem and Andy songs really.

Once upon a time, they were a band. The songs belong to everyone who played on them in my opinion, especially the vocalist. Otherwise Liam's not selling out Finsbury Park, Old Trafford or arena tours off the back of Wall of Glass.

True. But I think Liam probably only likes to sing his own songs and the songs which Noel wrote in Oasis.

The Gem and Andy songs aren't anywhere near as well known as alot of other Oasis tracks, but the fact he put Gas Panic in shows he's not adverse to playing deep album cuts the average person won't know.
It's these deep cuts that I most look forward too, seeing him play Be Here Now at Alexandra Palace a couple of years ago was immense!

True but the question is would Gem and Andy really want Liam performing their Oasis songs at his solo concerts? And Liam has tweeted once or twice that he wouldn't play any of their songs when someone has asked him if he would play a certain song of theirs. Also I know that Liam has tweeted some nice things about Andy Bell recently but I didn't he say in a Q interview just before his big comeback that he had no contact with them anymore.

Money, ego and recognition says they'll be fine with Liam playing their tracks. Who wouldnt' wanna get paid whilst thousands go mad at a Liam Gallagher gig?
I've not seen those tweets but if Liam likes the song, he'll think about playing it I reckon.
I think its in his film, he basically sat at home for a few years away from everything, I suspect walking up the steps at Wembley Stadium or Blackpool Empress Ballroom with Andy Bell felt a long way away. Andy seems like an extremely busy man and maybe they've just lost contact. I don't think Liam has a bad word to say about anyone that came through Oasis.

Has he played My Big Mouth live? Seems an obvious choice for his ROCK 'N' ROLL thing, plus we already know it works in a lower register. Still waiting for either of them to play the #1 single All Around the World this century, too.
Should be a regular. And Stand By Me.

Noel wouldn't play "All around the world" at gunpoint; I don't reckon Liam will play it either, sadly. I have more hopes of him resurrecting "Don't go away", "Stay young" or maybe to dig out "The girl in the dirty shirt" as a special treat for the fans someday, who knows?

Go Let It Out and The Hindu Times in the Setlist would be incredible. He hasnβt played either of those yet has he?

It's a shame; you just know people would go absolutely mental for it. A #1 single from the nineties, the band at their zenith of arrogance and popularity, could easily be played as a seven-minute piece, and it would get everyone singing. I think it'd be a fantastic addiction to his setlist and a nice way to mix things up. It's too good a song not to get played for three decades!

Probably because Gas Panic is a genuine classic deep cut and not written by Andy/Gem. Nobody pines for Andy and Gem - aside from Turn Up The Sun, everything they contributed was dreck. If it ain't Gallagher related, then it's a no go area as far as I'm concerned. Heck, I'd be demanding my money back if Liam started belting out Hung In A Bad Place over something he could have picked from Be Here Now. Aside from that, I think Liam has his setlists spot on. He's always willing to dive into the deeper cuts, stays the hell away from the crap, acknowledges up front what is shit and what is classic and he's always spot on - the man has better quality control than Noel ever had over an increasingly tiresome Oasis setlist. For that alone (and not even taking his two albums into account that I love), his solo career has been immense.

The Gem and Andy songs need to be all forgotten about lol. All trash barring TUTS. And even TUTS isn't all that.
Just had a quick look at all the songs Gem and Andy wrote for Oasis and my word it's scary when you look at them all in one go. DREADFUL.
That's scandalous they were ever approved.
Edit: Missed Eyeball Tickler. That's not bad.

Turn up the Sun is Beady-Eye-tier. Never got why people liked it so much, it's like a parody of an Oasis song.
I'd rather he did I Got the Fever over anything written by Andy/Gem.
(Outside of To Be Where There's Life).

I don't mind Gem and Andy songs on cd but not to play live. And, I agree that Liam has his set lists spot on. One song I would love Liam to play live one day is Roll It Over. I've always loved that song and it's probably my favourite track on Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants.
