It's not bad when you first listen to it.
But I got bored of Shockwave very quickly.

Just watched the Radio X gig again and The River is undoubtedly one of the heaviest Oasis related tunes of all time. Monstrous. He should never drop it from the setlist. I flew over from Texas to see him at both Dublin gigs in November 2019 and it was one the highlights for me then as well.

It always sounds great live and even more heavy than what the studio version does.

Just watching the Radio X Gig on YouTube and it got me thinking - Does anyone reckon weβll get a Live Blu-Ray/DVD release from Liam? Possibly if he finally books Knebworth?

There is a different set of licenses required for audio-visual entertainment than for audio. A "cover" on an LP (in other words, an Oasis tune for which Noel owns the publishing) is a mechanical license that doesn't involve any permissions. But you do need permissions for video.

But he may feel that the mass buying public would be disappointed in such a release. After all, he has one live solo album to date and 50% of it is Oasis songs. (And presumably, this is also why there is no accompanying DVD, as good footage is in the can and there is clearly a hungry market.)

What he should do, a specific gig for a video release with only his solo songs and HIS own songs from oasis. There is more than enough great songs from that catalog.
Itβs frustrating because the MTV gig would have been released on DVD Iβm sure if it wasnβt for those publishing rights bullshit
Also, Reading Festival 2017 is one of my favourite Liam solo gigs

In my top 5 Gallagher gigs live def, and probably my second favourite after (funnily enough) Reading 2000.

That's not a statement on their quality, necessarily. They just aren't the Oasis songs that cause sales.

It would be great if Liam manages to play at Knebworth one day and releases a live cd but I doubt very much we would get it released on dvd though not if he does some Oasis songs in his set list like he usually does.

I love Liam's Reading festival concert and it's one of my favourites too. It's a shame that this year's Reading festival had to be cancelled due to Covid. But fingers crossed for next year.

I do hope Liam is able to headline Knebworth himself one day; so many people have been saying as long as he plays the hits, he could do it on his own. I would be right there, it wouldn't bother me if there was no dvd.

And, I agree with you about if he plays the hits then he could do it himself. I'm not bothered about a dvd release either but a cd release would be great.

Thinkin' about how little I care about future Liam albums. Clearly he had very little part in the creation of WMWN and I'm not seeing any indication that that's gonna change, so whatever. I'm glad he's back out there, he's happy and his voice is working again. But his albums hold little interest to me now.

Well I'll always look forward to every album which Liam puts out. And, to be honest I'm not too sure how much in put he had in Why Me Why Not as all the songs were co written. But it will be interesting to see what happens with album number 3 and if he writes any songs himself.

I wonder if Liam has been in the studio again as he did say on Twitter that he was next in the studio in two weeks time. And, it must be over two weeks now since he posted that on Twitter. Also, I wonder how the new album is coming along.

I don't really use Twitter a lot and I know he's been away from it and hasn't tweeted much.

Ok thanks but it's a a shame if he hasn't been in the studio. Mind you it's anyone's guess if he has or not though. But either way I'm looking forward to hearing some new music when ever that maybe.

Twitter tells me it was exactly 3 years ago Liam's Reading set was shown live. That was when I knew the comeback was really on. The crowd looked full of people who wouldn't have been alive when Morning Glory came out and Liam was like a man possessed.
