This song is regularly putting a smile on my face in these worrying times. Love it.

The night, thoâ clear, shall frownâ And the stars shall look not down From their high thrones in the heaven, With light like Hope to mortals givenâ But their red orbs, without beam, To thy weariness shall seem As a burning and a fever Which would cling to thee for ever.

Just watched a video on 5 things that need to stop in the metal scene. To address number 2 and the If you don't listen to *inset*, fuck you thing I agree. I listen to metal yes but I listen to music that I like from all genres. If I think it's good I will listen to it.

I didn't know that Travis' "The Man Who" was such a huge success in UK. Sold over 2 millions copies. I was around 18 or 19 at the time, they were huge for a while along with Stereophonics, very much the post Britpop era very MOR type of bands were really sweeping up. Why Does it Always Rain on Me really put them over huge, that song was everywhere. They were huge in Ireland too, went to see them at a old festival called Witness and they headlined over Beck and Paul Weller. They were still big with the following album The Invisible Band too, Sing is one of their greatest songs. But they just disappeared after that, had a bit of comeback with that song Closer (which is a old school Travis type song) but they do well for themselves to be fair, and they sold out a recent tour of The Man Who and it was one of the best Live Gigs I've been at for a while, just them playing the hits and you forget how many they had. I think their debut is probably their best album to be honest.

'Art of Dying' is one of my favourite songs George Harrison ever wrote. I think the middle eight is particularly effective. đ¤

All the harsher, edgey tones from Good Feeling hasn't been heard in 2 decades. It almost feels like this band is on auto pilot since around 2004. I do like a bunch of songs off 12 Memories: Beautiful Occupation, Re-Offender, Somewhere Else, Happy To Hang Around.

Wasn't digging the singles or artwork and way too much awesome albums being dropped in 2008 to catch my attention for a deeper dive.

I'll throw in some big beat, techno, and trip hop too since I've been on a kick of that lately: (The last one is particularly relevant to these times )

A lot of Pearl Jam fans think that Gigaton has a secret sister album that is ready to be released shortly. This is still debatable. Iâm starting to realize this is a growing trend with bands and their fans.
- U2 said Songs of Ascent would come real fast behind No Line On The Horizon but that didn't take place.
- Radiohead fans swore up and down The King OT Limbs wasnât the final product and a part 2 was on the way. That never happened despite some terrific leaps of logic.
- Noel Gallagher promised the AA album that would follow soon after his debut and he actually liked it more! Still has never happened.
- Coldplay fans thought a second poppy album was coming shortly after Everyday Life, strong hints by band and even an ad in the artwork for âmusic for spheresâ. Still nothing.
Iâm sure I am forgetting other examples.

Hearing the new Pearl Jam album, same ol same ol..., still an ok album with some rare new tricks here and there, they shouldn't be shy of those new tricks really, should have dug deeper.

After listening to Serenity Defiled and hearing the Lord vocalist I was thinking was there anyone else who plays a completely different genre to the one they're known for in side projects?

Digging the debut album 925 by the UK band Sorry. Great, sometimes weird, guitar music with really good hooks with many flavors.

I really digging Who Ever Said Superblood Wolfmoon Dance of the clairvoyants Quick Escape Seven OâClock Never Destination River Cross I was âsupposedâ to see PJ last night at MSG. Gonna have to rock it out another time down the road.
