Maybe that was the compromise? Noel agrees to Oasis but is free to pursue and keep his band every 2-3 years for an album and a tour? The only downside to that is that it probably wouldn't be a world tour. I know last time he was here it wasn't the most successful thing ever, but dammit I still enjoyed it! I can see it being something like this, with Oasis being Noel's main project and the HFBs being his side outlet to release more 'experimental' material. It'd be sad to see the back of the HFBs, they were my gateway into Oasis music as well as the wider Britpop scene. Those first two albums contain some of Noel's finest work post BHN

If find the more recent Noel gigs hard to watch. Not very exciting and I think his voice is on its way out. He used to have a lot of power but now it seems like he struggles to hit the high notes he was once excellent at.

I've been listening to these demos a lot as the Winter nights have started drawing in. They've both got such a cozy, wintry vibe, perfect for this time of year ❄

If you're actually there you don't notice it. Noel's gigs have been spotless. However, in pro-shot recordings you can notice that he's struggling a bit. Often a subpar mixing and the very dry vocals don't help.

The last Noel gig I went to (I went to 3) the atmosphere was awful and that was at Greenwich for the Who Built The Moon? tour. The other two it was great, though one of them was at the O2 which Noel slagged off afterwards! Watching him on Youtube it just doesn't look like the first two but looks like the third one I went to. Delighted to hear I am wrong though!

Delighted to hear I am wrong though! Fair enough, don't think he was in the right frame of mind for that WBTM cycle, he was slagging off Oasis and Oasis fans as I recall, seemed properly obnoxious as opposed to being obnoxious for laughs. For Council Skies cycle he's gone the other way, telling crowd don't worry soon we'll get to the 90s, that CS over and done with, downplaying his solo work, even though that's the stuff I most wanted to hear and not the Oasis stuff. Funny thing is crowd was eager for his solo work, mind you I'm always down the front where it's going off, can't say what it's like for those at the back.

Pretty Boy officially turns two years old today! Didn't exactly love it when it first came out but the live version redeemed it for me The remix is #9 on my all-time top streamed songs, so fair to say it's aged well for me. I ended up liking the original a lot too, even if I was cranky about the lazy lyrics for the first day or so.

Windiana all the way Had Ohio State lost I was gonna get Mike Vrabel on the phone personally and get him to Ohio State to coach….and, I still want that to happen - he’s a Buckeye and would bring some toughness that was lacking; some toughness and grit that you want in case a scenario like Bonehead's Barber ’s throwing his piss like a weirdo and needs his teeth knocked out….. God bless.
