He didn’t want to be in it I believe. Yeah, director Mat Whitecross has talked about trying to coax White and Guigsy into doing it, and they both turned him down. I think he got White to the point of having a two-hour conversation about it, but then White backed out before Whitecross could actually record an interview from him.

I think Reunion won't happen soon, but Liam may get Noel's new song.

"She Is Love" is actually the closest Oasis ever came to sound like Belle and Sebastian. Shame the song is shit. Meh. It's cheesy, but not shit. It's got some awesome production and mixing on it too to where everything is very clear, warm, and balanced, which was not often done on Oasis songs and a good reason for why I think HC should've had more acoustic moments. The song is a good listen every now and then.

I like that performance! Honestly, it's got a good melody and the studio version was on its way to being good, but they messed it up by not producing Liam's vocals right and by taking more of an Oasis approach than a Ride approach. There's some good guitar work but it doesn't go far enough, plus those "La la la la"s are really, really jarring and really take away from the feel of an otherwise pretty good song.

It was awkward hearing Andy praise Liam's vocals on this track. They have been heavily panned since it leaked in April 2005. Wish Liam sounded better on it. Doesn't.

That's definitely the "Best since Morning Glory"/"Has the spirit of Definitely Maybe" effect. Hype it up and then let everyone else decide what's great, good, mediocre, and bad.

I remember Noel saying in the build up to DBTT that "Keep The Dream Alive" would be a concert staple for them for years. Never performed live.

Absolute shit tune, KTDA is. I'll reiterate what I said before: It's a good song but it was done poorly on the album version. Poor vocal take by Liam, too much of an Oasis approach ("La la la la"s and Liam's overt snarl) rather than a Ride, shoegaze-y guitar approach (more guitar work and shoegaze-like production). I like the way the verses are written and the way the chorus and the solo sound, but Liam's vocals and his "La la la"s really kill it for me.

It divided opinions on here if I'm remembering correctly, but it's definitely my personal favourite version of LTBL, especially lyrically-

It divided opinions on here if I'm remembering correctly, but it's definitely my personal favourite version of LTBL, especially lyrically- I'd agree that it's superior lyrically. Musically, this feels too rushed compared to the slow build of LTBL. I feel like if you combine the tempo and flow of It's a Crime with the instrumentation of LTBL, you get the best version of this song. It's a Crime in this form sounds very unfinished musically, but the lyrics/vocal melody and tempo sounds more developed than LTBL (which is strange given the time between this demo and LTBL on DBTT) while the keyboard-heavy instrumentation on LTBL builds upon It's a Crime's ideas well. Although, I do enjoy how lovely LTBL sounds. I just wish it had kept building into Liam's verse after the mellotron interlude following Noel's middle 8. Slowing down for Liam's final verse nixes the energy a bit, as does the false ending.

I don't mind Keep the Dream Alive. With half-decent arrangement and production, it'd be a nice tune. Tighten it with an edit, maybe. But the melody at the heart of it is better than a lot of the other DBTT material.

There is a radio edit of the track available. www.discogs.com/Oasis-Keep-The-Dream-Alive/release/9704093It was shared a couple of years ago. Not on YouTube unfortunately but is out there.
