Reminds of the video the person took of them soundchecking with LG’s vox echoing off of the Tyrolean mountains. ⚡️⚡️ Yeah, reminded me of that too. It was Paper Crown if I remember correctly, and it sounded magical. I lived in Bavaria (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) for almost two years and would routinely use the Bayern Pass train ticket that would take several people to Innsbruck for €20 and hangout in the area. Can’t imagine walking around there and hearing his voice reverberating throughout town; would’ve thought I was in a different dimension.

I've just remembered that fantastic summer of 2018 when Liam played about a kilometer away from me. I could hear the band soundchecking Rock 'N' Roll Star from my bedroom window. Crazy times. Reminds of the video the person took of them soundchecking with LG’s vox echoing off of the Tyrolean mountains. ⚡️⚡️ Wow, that sounds really cool. Is that video still on the internet? Does anyone happen to have a link?

Roll With it will always be a classic for me. I was listening to Glastonbury 1995 this morning and RWI was a highlight. But that said, the 1998 versions are my favourite. It sounds massive.

Why Oasis has got so much haters ? It's a thing I can't understand. Of all my other favourite bands, there are some that get disliked a bit but with Oasis it seems to be pure hatred. It's hard to understand. 1) 'Typical' Oasis Fans. From my perspective (in the UK at least) Oasis fans are seen as being binge drinking, football fanatical Parka Monkeys and casual music listeners. Not exactly the typical individual who signs up to music discussion forums or critiques music for a living. I think a lot of the people who do discuss or critiques music look down on these 'typical' Oasis fans and have a hard time separating them from the band and the music. 2) Liam and Noel Gallagher. A lot of people really dislike the pair. They're seen as unintelligent, self aggrandizing and needlessly rude. Liam in particular who is seen as being extra stupid and aggressive. In the mid-nineties they would have been inescapable and many would have seen them to have had far more success than they had earned. Again people have a hard time separating them from the music. Noel Gallagher: "I hate that Alex and Damon. I hope they catch AIDS and die." One of many examples of Liam's behaviour. 3) The songs. Many people would not unfairly describe Oasis songs as being simplistic and unoriginal. They ape The Beatles, directly lifts from others songs and have no intention of doing anything new whatsoever. As most people only know the band's bigger hits they'd likely be forming an impression of the band from these songs alone. A song like 'Wonderwall' has achieved such popularity it's inescapable to an annoying degree. Most of it has nothing to do with the music. If you go to a site like Rate Your Music, you'll only read "arrogant pricks, blabla fuckin' bla, they lifted from The Beatles". Nobody talks about the quality and beauty of the melodies. Just look at the negative reviews here ( rateyourmusic.com/release/album/oasis/_whats-the-story-morning-glory/ ), I don't think you'll see the word melody and it's a shame since it's the most important factor for a pop band.

top gig RNRStar and the first time I hear Noel sings this way 'always seems to me' around 55min*. Fade Away has a nice spot in the acoustic set too
and I believed I heard EVERY melody change over the years..

But for real. Just imagine being an Oasis fan, living in hearing distance of the venue and yet still not being able to go to the gig. 😳

The album version sucked so bad, but I do like this live performance.

Heard about 30 minutes or so of music. It was lovely to fall asleep listening to them performing live.

With this Coronavirus situation going on I'd wish there was something Oasis related to look forward to. A demo leak, an outtake, unreleased stuff or something like that.

There's no better time than now for unearthing unheard stuff and demos. That stuff is out there. Come on collectors, share it with the world!

"She Is Love" is actually the closest Oasis ever came to sound like Belle and Sebastian. Shame the song is shit.
