I wonder how many Oasis/BDI/NGHFB/LG total songs there are - including B-sides, bonus tracks, but not remixes (or live, or demos), fuck that shit.
Surely someone out there has a good estimate....?

Holy Mountain is, by far and away, the best post-Oasis song. It has no competition. Nothing comes close.

Holy Mountain is, by far and away, the best post-Oasis song. It seriously has no competition. Nothing comes close. We may not agree with much, but you’re alright in my book mate.

Not the Gallagher's fault. Barcelona has the sun, Amsterdam legal weed, Berlin has the beer. London and Bristol need the cocaine.

Always makes me laugh how blitzed Noel is in the 'All Around the World' music video.

I’m not on any other music forums (as a Los Campesinos forum oddly doesn’t exist).
Is it just Oasis fans and on here where we use acronyms for song names, or is this bullshit a universal practice?

As a fan myself, I quite enjoyed it and it seemed like others did too. The consensus was that the song showed that they're going in a better direction than what was indicated with LID and that it was one of their best in recent years, possibly since Bones.

I bet a Magic Pie is a pie filled with cocaine.
No wonder how Noel got so fat in the late 1990s!

first time since 97 I listen to Be Here Now without Magic Pie. Stay Young is so much better
but love it as DYWIM's b-side though. 2nd track we heard back then. was so fucking amazing I think My Sister Lover could have been a great track 3, but the chorus is kinda shit

SOTSOG could have been such a classic with a clearer mindset behind the band regarding decisions in terms of track list and such. The tunes were fully there.
Let's All Make Believe (Little James on a record and this not), Full On, Carry Us All (SMC made the cut over this, why the fuck i don't know), One Way Road were all left out of the record.

I think the production of the record is great, with Stent elevating it above all over 2000's Oasis albums pretty much single-handedly, but looking back I think Noel was right that his magic melodic ability hadn't quite returned to him yet. If they had waited a little longer, and came back ready to incorporate songs like The Hindu Times, Stop Crying Your Heart Out, and Little by Little into the darker sound, Oasis would have launched a much better second half of their career.

Amen! Little by Little would've been fine as is and The Hindu Times would've been good with the demo version (and Liam vocals), but SCYHO would've been a stunner in a dark but still classic, life-affirming upbeat Oasis style, especially if it had come after Gas Panic! and Where Did it All Go Wrong? on an alternate SOTSOG. A new take on the Oasis style... Dark but still upbeat and looking for the light at the end of the tunnel.
