Just so you know, this song was a huge hit in the Chinese-speaking world a few years ago and is about the plight of migrant workers within China, who have to leave their rural hometowns to work in big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, and yes, Wuhan. Remember how the coronavirus started becoming really serious in Wuhan around late January/early February? That was also around Chinese New Year aka the only time of year those migrant workers can return home. When Wuhan locked down thousands of those migrant workers lost their only chance of the year to see their families. As for the song, it's really catchy innit? Also, you should check out the music video. It has English subtitles too.

21440. I feel like I'm in a creative flow mode and I'm loving it. Just came up with another "song" and I have it all planned in my head and it will sound close to Brian Jonestown Massacre which I love. It's just two chords but it's a nice simple riff and I played another lead riff over it that sounds great and while I still haven't totally decided about the vocal melody I feel like it'll be really easy this time (I already sang over it and I liked what I did but I'm gonna concentrate on it later). Also I love the quiet/loud dynamics in songs and when I stopped recording the chords I let the chord ring till it was almost silent and then made this weird strumming thing and went back to the chord pattern and I realised I could bring all the instruments loud and guitars distorted in that moment and it'd turn from minimalistic song to full blown noise rock and I could alternate between those two styles however I want.
The great thing about 2 chord songs, which I hadn't actually realised until more recently, is that it gives you so much freedom with vocals. When I started playing acoustic guitar I was always playing like Noel and for some reason it didn't work for me, I was always struggling to find the correct chord for the vocal melody or vice versa, and now I've started to realise that less chords is often better. And I'm not saying I don't play stuff with more chords anymore, I totally do, but it's more that I've found out that I should try to play other kind of stuff as well.

21442
Found an ideal CAT candidate. Had a little chit-chat with the owner and it seems like Suzy (well, that what the cat's called, can't do much about that) would be the right fit for our household. Somehow I forgot to ask is she's been tested for FeLV or not, and it's a shame because we have everything sorted out already regarding her move, and if the answer is no, The Council is going to be proper angry with me if I take her in. Now I'm begging that she's a healthy little girl because I really want to get a cat as soon as possible. It may sound a bit selfish, but it's partly for the sake of my own mental health. I'm at my best when I have something living to take care of, let it be a child or an animal, and the sense of responsibility transforms me into a rather different person. I wouldn't normally clean my room that often but if I have to realize the ideal living environment for something or someone who I deeply care for then I'm leaving no prisoners when it comes to scrubbing away sticky patches of cereal milk from my desk.
Also, if this wouldn't be enough, there's a series of tests at the end of the year for everyone who's just about to end high school, and the oral part, which I absolutely feared, will be cancelled, while the written bit will be held as usual. Takes a lot of weight off my shoulder and I'm looking forward to it.
Dare I say it then? HAPPY DAYS. Well, relatively, of course, but still, HAPPY DAYS.
Stay safe!!!

21444. Need to get in better shape. It seems like my resting heart rate is regularly around 80 and that doesn't feel right.
I kinda wonder if there's a chance I've actually damaged my heart with substances already. I had a couple of darker moments not too long ago. The first time was in November when I had some 4-MMC (mephedrone) and I used stupid amounts in under a week and one night I came home from drinking and I just snorted everything I had in one go (it wasn't a small amount either) and what happened next is still unclear but I basically woke up in my bed tripping on acid with a terrible come down and with no memory of anything that happened. I think I passed out somehow. Anyway, the next day my HR just wouldn't go down and I actually felt some pressure in my chest for a couple of days. That actually scared me a bit because it was the only time I really lost control with these things and I just kept wondering if that kind of overdose was genuinely dangerous in a life threatening way. I mean, it says something that I passed out even though I was taking uppers which should keep you awake. I don't know what the fuck happened.
This february I was binging on stuff again and my HR stayed at 130 for probably 24 hours straight which was a bit worrying. Hope all this hasn't caused too much damage, not very smart behaviour from me.

21450. I found out someone was actually upset because I forgot her birthday. I remember actually trying to figure out which day it is at one point but since I couldn't find out I just brushed it off. But I didn't realise she was hoping me to remember it and now I feel kinda bad about it.
The weird thing is that I didn't think we were close enough for it to be a big deal. Or maybe it was just my personal stance on birthdays in general; I don't even remember when I've actually celebrated them myself. I remember my friend once saying that I should've told him it was my birthday and I just thought it's not important.
