European draws for the Scottish teams: Inverness Caledonian Thistle v FC Astra (Romania) Aberdeen or KF Shkendijia (Macedonia) v HNK Rijeka (Croatia) St Johnstone or Alashkert FC (Armenia) v Crvena Zvezda (Serbia) or Kairat Almaty (Kazakhstan) We should hopefully be able to get through the first round easily enough. This Croatian mob seem to be pretty handy though, beat Standard Liege and Feyenoord last year and drew with Sevilla. Also made the group stages the last two years. Tough draw but we'd carry their seeding through to the third round if we won so a great incentive. Honestly, seeing these draws makes me glad we never qualified. Brutal for St Johnstone. Pretty depressing that when we went on our great European run in 07/08 we came straight into the play offs after finishing 3rd, now all our teams apart from the minks are coming in 2nd round at best.

Kingsley's got its own spot on Sky Sports News. It's meant to look like a quizzical sun is it? I honestly think it's the worst mascot I've ever seen.

The publicity Thistle have got over this is fantastic. They were trending worldwide on twitter earlier and it's been on sky news as well as Scotland Tonight and presumably the regional news.

It's a pretty poor draw, even though Astra finished bottom of their group of the Europa League it will be very difficult to win. Not too great for the other Scots teams, but it proves Scots football has a lot of improving to do with such poor coefficients.

Danny Wilson signed, 3 year deal. Rumours going around Stevie May could sign from Sheffield Wednesday on loan this week with a view to permanent deal at the end of the season. I like the fact Mark Warbuton is looking at younger players and that the one older guy we've been linked with was Derby's captain in the English championship last season so possibly a decent bit of experience to bring them on rather than Lee McCulloch! May would be a great signing, thon Wilson is rank rotten though. Boy in my work is a big Jambo and hates him. We had Eustace on loan when he was 18, season 98/99! He was a really good player and very popular with fans. 36 now though and injury prone as anything. I can't say I know anything about Eustace Globe, I can't think of him whenever I've watched Derby but I'm hoping Warburton is on the ball with this one as our previous "experienced" players done fuck all to bring our younger players on in the last 3-4 years.

Our new away kit is smart as fuck. Why is Anderson still hinging about? Is he going into coaching at the club now or something? Our game on the opening day of the season has been moved to the Sunday, pish. I fucking hate Sky.

He's got some ambassadorial role at the club for work with the community or something along those lines. Aye 3:30 on the Sunday is a bit pish, extra half hour in the pub though...

I don't think I've ever seen him play haha. He sounds promising though, think he won Dumbarton player of the season last year? Hoping he does well at you guys and can establish himself with us. Glad I now have a scout who can regularly report back on him Do you think he'll get game time with you?

Jaime's away to Kilmarnock so unless we sign another keeper, we'll just have him and Graham Bowman, who admittedly hasn't been bad whenever he's stood in. He is a convicted drink driver though, which unfortunately put a lot of the fans off him.

First decent decision that club have made in years. Quite literally.

Admittedly it was only about 4 games a couple of seasons ago but I thought Danny Rogers was quite good in his loan spell with us. Nothing spectacular and we replaced him with a better keeper (at the time) in Grant Adam but he was decent enough and an improvement on our options of a very poor under 20s keeper and Tony Bullock. We used 7 keepers that season (with another unused sub) and he was 2nd best, though given how poor the rest were that's not saying too much!

900K bid from Celtic for Cifti rejected apparently. FFS Deila, you'll be wanting the shirt of my back next.
Will be interesting to see what sort of ban Cifti gets if he signs for Celtic compared to what he'd get if he stayed at Tannadice.

Scottish football eats the crumbs off our table anyway, we keep it alive.
