If someone does an mp3 version let me know. You can play the FLAC file with VLC, unless you're trying to put this on your iPod or whatever. iPhone, but yes that is the issue. |

I usually just open the FLAC file with the free version of WavePad and save it as a 320 kbps MP3. Takes about 10 seconds and then I delete the FLAC file off my computer.

I love every version of this song. I agree, the vocals here are better. Maybe someone could one day strip the vocals from this demo and overlay them in the album version?

If this song was on Definitely Maybe it would've been the best song ever.
compare it to the Live Forever acoustic performance from MTV the one with Liam and Bone head and I think you'll find this demo is better.
Live Forever has a huge legacy, and so would TDOTL if it was from 1994.

Very similar to the soundcheck but obviously stronger quality and I like the little flourishes he added at the end of the chorus. Love Noel's acoustic versions of everything pretty much and always have, but in an anomaly I think I "prefer" the album version which is rare. Apples and oranges, both are killer. Thanks to SS and Jim.

If this song was on Definitely Maybe it would've been the best song ever. compare it to the Live Forever acoustic performance from MTV the one with Liam and Bone head and I think you'll find this demo is better. Live Forever has a huge legacy, and so would TDOTL if it was from 1994. True but compare it to an acoustic Slide Away performance (like that Chicago 97 one I think - the famous on on Youtube) and it would just fall short. WHICH JUST TELLS YOU HOW GOOD THIS SONG IS!! (because as songs go, Slide Away had everything) Would have been an upper tier 1 Oasis tune for sure. |
