I recall it being a video interview and happened I think at least a month after the release of BE, once they realized that it wasn't doing well on sales. But I can't find it anywhere. Was it this one? At about 4:45 he says something about seeing if it does the business first. It might be. But I have a memory that Liam was asked a similar question, 'Would you work with Sitek again?" and he sort of shrugged. Giving like a 'maybe' answer with a displeasing tone. I may just be remembering incorrectly. Good find though.

It's dissappointing that Liam doesn't bother checking out ANY new music, he just assumes new music will automatically be shit and it makes him look stupid to be frank.
I think a lot of Beady Eyes failure stems from the group not keeping up with modern times, ie saying he doesn't know or care how people buy music nowadays, pathetic. That and the fact liam doesn't really listen to anything beyond the 60s / 70s.
Also imagine agreeing to work with a producer and not actually listening to his material. Liam really needs to get real and embrace new things. Otherwise he'll be stuck writing the same songs over and over again.

the new tv on the radio single is very good! is that a sitek production? sounds quite similar to heat of the moment production-wise.

I think he listens to new music but he doesn't like it as much as the old records. I remember an interview when he said that he listened the first Cults album and he liked it.

I'm fairly confident Liam and Dave will work together again but who knows.

But it seems like he always writes Oasis tributes of varying quality (Four Letter Word, Kill for a Dream, I'm Just Saying) instead of just writing what he wants...

His biggest crimes are "Kill For A Dream" and "The Beat Goes On". Talk about rock n roll cliches. Those two songs are it! To me they sound like "Oasis paint by number" tunes. Turn Up The Sun is brilliant though. Would also love to hear the full 5 minute version of "A Quick Peep".

Put Liam in the studio with Rick Rubin. noooo this guy is not special at all. sure he gets a great sound of some artists, but many of them said, that he wasn't really present during the recording sessions at all. In my eyes and ears really overrated, although he really nailed the Johnny Cash american recordings and the last black sabbath record.

For whatever reason I just can't get into Jake Bugg. I like 1-2 songs but that's it. Not sure why.

I like Jake Bugg but I think his voice will end up like Liam's, because their styles aren't too dissimilar and it sounds like he's singing out of his nose as well.
