I can't stop looking over that tracklist again and again. Having a big smile on my face. And people don't forget: We'll most definitely get 2 bonus tracks on the japanese release as well, just like the Shakermaker and Hello demos! I doubt there'll be room for two bonus tracks at the end of the album. That is a very good point. We all know how chock full disc 1 is, Disc 2 is running to around 58 minutes before the two new tracks. Maybe there's space on disc 3.

Is there anything that seperates a Mustique demo from a regular demo? Whats the hype?

Damn shame that early 90s version of Going Nowhere didn't make it. Unless it's on a bonus disc or Japanese version.

Very good point. I wonder if the untitled track might be one of the linking orchestral pieces that Noel spoke about back in the day. If I remember rightly the idea was that each track would have a linking instrumental, but this was scrapped when they realised it would make Be Here Now into a double album. Quite possibly! My bet (hope) is it's the 10-minute Jarvis Cocker track. That would be amazing to hear. Been curious about that one since Owen described it in your Q&A with him a few years back!

The Heroes and Street Fighting Man b-side covers are missing. Wouldn't fit on the discs or couldn't get the rights?
Is the Angel Child Demo B-Side the same as Mustique?
The DM remaster had I am the Walrus and Morning Glory had You've Got to Hide Your Love Away and Cum on Feel the Noize.

Very good point. I wonder if the untitled track might be one of the linking orchestral pieces that Noel spoke about back in the day. If I remember rightly the idea was that each track would have a linking instrumental, but this was scrapped when they realised it would make Be Here Now into a double album. Good speculation. It's hard to know from Noel's quotes if those pieces were really recorded or if it was just an idea though. Yes, fair point. Just checked the quote and t's phrased more ambiguously than I remembered... one other thing that caught my eye here though was Noel saying that the AATW reprise has the drums taken out, which sounds like a different mix than was used on the finished album. I - "It's Getting Better (Man)" has a very free, jam-type feel. N - That was going to be the last thing on the record. We were just going to keep the end going all the way until the end of the CD. Then we decided that "All Around The World" would fade back in for another two minutes, with all the drums taken out, just the orchestra playing. It's a very mellow way to end an album. I had written about eight separate pieces about a minute long that were going to come in after each song. But because the songs were so long, we could only get 74 minutes on the CD and we would have had to make it a double CD then the record company would have started charging ridiculous amounts of money to buy it. I - The segues might be great music for films. N - I might just take those interludes and make an instrumental album in the future. oasisinterviews.blogspot.co.uk/1997/06/noel-gallagher-chart-june-1997.html

Is there anything that seperates a Mustique demo from a regular demo? Whats the hype? Mustique is the as yet unheard Be Here Now demos (excluding oasisdna ) recorded by Noel Gallagher and Owen Morris at Mick Jagger's Stargroves home on the island, hence the name. The demos are supposed to be stripped back and well recorded from what I remember of my time at SMG, although I obviously haven't heard them.

I've just noticed that we're getting a demo for BHN (the track), labeled as "Trip Inside (Be Here Now) (Mustique Demo)". I thought it wasn't included on the original Mustique tape tracklist. oasisdna, davidjay, do you know anything about it? Could it be a "fake" demo like the ones we got on the MG reissue?

And to think, it only took us 90 or so pages of hate-filled ranting over the best part of two years to get this released.
Intrigued to hear Noel's reimagining of DYKWIM. Imagine if it's even longer.
