Not disagreeing with the last few posts as such…and obviously I’m very biased in my view. But today I still get a lot of Enjoyment out of BHN, where as Urban Hymns, OK computer , blur …I have to say I don’t really ever go back and if I do it feels old and tired. BHN is ALWAYS an energy lift and as “Let’s go!” feeling

As an album its in a very lower league compared to BHN.

Biggest shame is they never (or Richard) followed it up with anything decent

Biggest shame is they never (or Richard) followed it up with anything decent If they'd selected the right tracks from everything they recorded during the "Forth" era, they could have made a pretty powerful follow-up. The momentum just DIES in the middle third.

Just like OK Computer is too, they're very different records though.

The “jazz nice” section at the end of Magic Pie is criminally under appreciated. Hope we’re treated to an extended version one day.

I've always had a soft spot for Magic Pie. It's just got a shit chorus.

I've Always loved Be here Now and I've Always loved to have a Be here Now "Naked". Noel should ha e finished the work started with D'you know what I mean.
By the way I don't like Magic Pie and I thunk that the tracklist should have been the follow:
D'you know what I mean? My big Mouth (less noise and no drums in the intro) Stay Young Flashbax Stand By Me I've Got The Fever I Hope I think I know The girl in the dirty shirt Fade in out Don't Go Away Be Here Now All Around the World (5 minutes Song) It's Getting Better Man (less noise, air studio's version is great)
Bonus track Stand By Me Acoustic Don't Go Away Acoustic The Girl in the Dirty Shirt Acoustic
This album is amazing
