"..After all these years we're finally getting what we wanted.." "..I don't really care for Noel sung demoes or the whole Mustique thing, but I'm gonna be grateful for whatevers released.." What the fook mate !? When did you get to decide what I want? Especially when you say you're happy with whatever shit they throw at you? Just to be clear, I want nothing less than the Mystique demos, a complete revamp of the album, studio outtakes and a few unreleased tracks/covers, I've pumped thousands of pounds into the Gallagher's and have been a hardcore fan from probably before you were born, so I reckon it's absolutely fine to have high expectations and demand something more than ordinary! To be clear, it's spelt 'Mustique' We were at one time promised the full set of Mustique demos so I'll hold out hope for the full set. Realistically we might get 2 or 3. I cannot wait to get my hands on this reissue. Roll on the official announcement. I hope your right Jack, although in my lifetime we have been promised an exciting new phase of Oasis beginning with SOTSOG, new sounds with DIV and a Noel Gallagher/AA collaborative LP so I will reserve judgement until the reissue is out

Quoting Noel Gallagher is never a good idea. Haha you're of course right to be pessimistic, but I will smoke a pack of Flatulence Panic's fags if some Mustique demos aren't on this.

Some is a half win. We want them all. Fuck live versions of BHN tracks. Who gives a fuck. Those have been bootlegged until the end of time.

Well, actually, that overpriced box set didn't even come with the Live Demonstration tape. They made us order that separately! I still don't understand that. True. I bought DM box set and the Live Demonstration tape when they were released 2 years ago, but for MG, I only bought a 3 CD set myself and got a vinyl from my friend for my birthday. I (and many of us on here) am not waiting for G-Mex or Budokan as "bonus tracks/disc". We may be very critical, but we're the ones who spend our hard earned money for these stuff.

We SHOULD get all of them. Best way to illustrate what Be Here Now was. From simple beginnings to full blown cocaine guitar solos. We will PROBABLY get a handful of the demos. We COULD get none and the entire Oasis community will weep for weeks.

What is the point to include 3-4 random BHN song live? I've got almost zero interest. Probably because the Oasis community has done a terrific job bootlegging all those gigs heavily over the last 20 years. My favorites include Hammerstein Ballroom and Dublin. Noel and company know what we all really want.....

It would be nice if we got the entire set of Mustique demos and also "For One So Young" which was from these sessions. That would send the hoarders weeping for weeks.

Good news about the reissue, but I have to confess I'm not too excited about it. I will only buy it if it includes a sufficient number of unreleased tracks (e.g. Mustique demos) or if the album has been completely remixed. I just listened to a few tracks off the record (which I haven't listened to in full since the 90s) and it seems it just sounds worse every time. The mix is utterly atrocious and it's in bad need of fixing. I wonder if they forgot to record the bass tracks. It would have been a good idea to offer an edited version too, but we know that's not happening.

I wonder if they forgot to record the bass tracks. Haha it's quite a psychedelic experience when you get to All Around The World and your ears freak out: "oh my god, what are these frequencies!!"

Noel decided not to do an edited version because he's a lazy, conservative twat.

But if you stop feeling like you deserve so much you won't be so disappointed. Peace.

Noel decided not to do an edited version because he's a lazy, conservative twat. In his defence, revisiting a piece of work that you consider to be worthless for the most part and trying to make something decent out of it is a very painful and unrewarding task. Especially if you can't see a clear positive outcome. Plus he's lazy as fuck.

I'd question who else is buying it to be honest mossy it isn't like a reissue of say the tenth anniversary of a massive crossover like "Thriller" with extras, and even taking into account the general decline in sales over the years for music in general the sales figures for the previous two reissues didn't exactly set the world alight. Good luck to them but at this point and particularly with Be Here Now as opposed the 94/95 LP's it would make more sense to me to treat it as a cult band release rather than a spectacular success reissue. The cynic in me of course says that things will be held back over the next decade or so to wring the final wedge from the hardcore fanbase before the vaults are truly emptied....

If we don't get all the Mustique demos now, the rest will be held back for an anthology. Plenty of obvious things were missed off DM & MG too.

PS I'd say the reissues are mostly to bring in new younger fans rather than to rinse us older ones. Just like how I got into the Beatles in the 90s due to the extra advertising / magazine articles / reviews around their anthologies.

I've been saying this since the original remasters came out 2 years ago. It a very cheap way to buy the albums, b sides and live tracks + few rarities for £15 (which will be down to £10 in HMV sales etc in 6 Months) Theses remasters will be the physical copy new fans will buy moving forward with all that content what's better way to hook new / casual fans in. Then in 5-10 years time they'll be the proper deluxe version for £30 for people who want all the extras or these remasters for who want the basics of each 90's era

Of course we're not getting anything spectacular. They'll save that for the more special anniversaries, like the 25th, the 50th etc. and for Anthology's. Like it's been said already, they've missed some obvious things with the last two as well. And although they're obviously not the best in handling these things, I don't believe they're THAT stupid.
I'm not really expecting anything. I'll just wait and see.

Expect nothing and you'll not be disappointed, that's the way you need to look at this sort of thing unfortunately.
