And the sounds in Noel's head go like this: While this song is playing in the background: And of course this is what is going on in Liam's head......... Sorry thomaslivesforever but I couldn't resist.

What a knobhead! Who's he to decide what people "buy in to"? I'd rather buy a DM re-issue than the next BE album! to be fair, he was a little BIG part of the reason, why the album is as successfull as it is, let the man say, what he thinks^^ I was a big reason it was a success too. I bought three fucking versions of it!!!I bought all the singles, I bought concert tickets, and I bought the anniversary DVDHe has no right to tell people not to buy it. Buying it was what made it a success in the first place!!!!!!

He's not deciding for you what you can spend your money on, he's just making it clear that he doesn't agree with remastering it, as he clearly feels it's perfect in it's current state and shouldn't be tampered with

There's more it than that. He probably listens to Beatles remasters all the time with no issues.

If artistic integrity is is game then that shouldn't be a problem for him.

The first three albums and their b-sides don't need remastering BUT REMIXING and rearranging. Even though the songs are mostly great, the recordings are obnoxiously trebly, clipping, slow and overlong. Two random examples are slide away and listen up, both of which are two minutes too long in my opinion and they also sound shit with all that treble going on. The sound is not the best but still i prefer it to the brickwalled and annoying originals.

Liam isn't the first artist that has told fans not to buy remasters. Be it music or film lots of artists have said don't buy remasters.
Some people believe the original way that people always loved it should be the only way and shouldn't be touched.
I don't care either way. I'll buy it and enjoy the album and extras but that was his opinion and he has the right to vent it.

As someone who actually mixes music, I'm offended at calling spyro's spam posts "remixes". Those tracks he keeps posting don't qualify as remasters OR remixes. I don't know why he's so obsessed with making the Gallaghers sound like little boys, but what he does is what anyone can do in two minutes with amateur music editing software.
Oh and P.S...by time compressing the audio, you're actually making the brickwalling worse. It doesn't matter if you apply an EQ filter over it and say "it's less trebly". You're degrading the sound quality even more than the original.

As someone who mixes music you should be offended with the obnoxious, brickwalled, clipping and unlistenable official versions that they released in the first place. I never said they were remixes, but simple eq and editing to make some of the stupid treble go away and also make the songs less plodding and shorter so that a casual listener will actually bother to listen to them through the end without falling asleep. Also if you care so much about sound quality, download the lossless wav from those soundcloud files and tell me that the boring as little else originals, sound better than these edits. soundcloud.com/spyrosfab4/08-its-gettin-better-man 4 min and 48 sec soundcloud.com/spyrosfab4/01-be-here-now 4 min soundcloud.com/spyrosfab4/04-stand-by-me 5 min instead of 6 soundcloud.com/spyrosfab4/06-the-girl-in-the-dirty-shirt 4min 40 sec All taken from the vinyl and casual listeners actually liked them instead of saying once again "fuck they are really boring, take it off",like most people react when i play them the official versions.

Shortening Slide Away. Surely that's punishable in a court of law.
I love how an earlier fade out and some EQ is presented as a fix.

They don't want to hurt your feelings as they know you put a whole 2 minutes of your time into them.

To get the full dynamic range of the original mixes would require access to the unmastered versions, only a handful of which are in circulation. There are a few on CD1 of the safety copy of the Definitely Maybe masters set (track 5: Whatever, track 15: Slide Away (fade cut), and track 16: Live Forever (master version). No others spring to mind atm... I think the instrumentals on the Stop the Clocks promo CD are also unmastered. It may also be worth mentioning here that Owen Morris has said that the new re-masters sound a lot closer to the analogue master tape than the CDs. Really looking forward to hear the results.

Oasis really should've had legendary producer Bruce Dickinson work on their albums.
he produces a great sound and knows how to get the best out of musicians.
God bless.

On the contrary, you can keep listening to the boring and slow 7 minute IGBM or the 6 minute TGITDS or the nearly 7 minute Slide Away or the 10 minute AATW and pretend that they deserve to be over 4 minutes length like the idiots you are. Even A Day In The Life is only 5 minutes long and it about a million times more interesting than these overblown simple rock songs.

WTF man. Punk rock makes 2 minutes long songs. Is that better?

Are they worse than Oasis 6 minute or more, plodding and overblown songs? wtf! A song needs to justify its length and Oasis songs rarely do that. Again, listen to the soundcloud files i posted, notice the edits and tell me which version is more direct and effective.
