I've always found Lennon2217 to be one of the fairest members on here. And is correct, whether drunk or not, Liam does have to tendency to say pretty idiotic things about music, same as Noel. I think any fan who is truly being fair would see that. "It's like Led Zeppelin doing The Beatles." - NG Did he say that about Be Here Now? tbf if he did then he wasn't far off haha

I suppose I don't really believe that you have been fair on Beady Eye. A series of not very funny negative comments or back handed compliments. Well that's how it looks to me anyway. This is all after the release of a decent album and after a disastrous start to the tour, a well received show. I don't think the balance of comments on these sections of the forum show that. And I would guess there is an obvious reason for that... Oh well, I guess it come with the territory of liking the less popular one. I guess you completely ignored all my posts over the last 2 years begging Beady Eye to get a new producer, someone in the vein of a Danger Mouse (They did). I guess you didn't read my review of "BE" when it first came out? I called it a huge step in the right direction. I guess you didn't read when I said Beady Eye had more ambition in the studio over Noel. I guess you didn't read any of my reviews from the DGSS tour? Two dynamite shows and one weak show due to horrible Liam vocals. I guess you didn't read me giving Beady Eye the highest compliment I possible can by saying they don't need Noel's Oasis songs when they go on tour. They have written plenty of excellent Beady Eye material I'd prefer to hear......or if they have to, play Oasis LAG songs that are very very good. No no, you are right. I fucking kill this band every chance I get. You are right Tom. Dead on as usual. I'd say go back and look up all these posts but you probably won't. As a result of that and not reading them when originally posted you are ignoring the complete picture I give on this band. I didn't say you 'fucking kill this band' every chance you get. Not reading well either? I suppose I could go and sift through some posts but I have some dinner to eat. I will defer to your judgement in this matter.

I wasn't being literal about the use of 'mega', I was using it to describe people who get overly sensitive if everything isn't described as great. But since you brought it up, a quick forum search of your username + mega brought up this.

I don't think I've ever been searched before either, so err thanks!

Reminds me of when fans get pissy about films getting re released and edited or one of their beloved tv series comes back after a break and they're worried about the legacy or integrity.......err, the original product still remains, it's not like all the original copies will be burnt and replaced or in the case of the show the old episodes never happened. We get an alternate version to enjoy, it won't become the definitive edition, so why would anyone care? I hate how George Lucas edited in Hayden Christensen at the end of Return of The Jedi. Tough shit.

I don't drink and tweet. Was Liam also drunk when he said DGSS was better than DM? Like I said, the man sometimes comes off like a rock n roll neanderthal. I suppose I don't really believe that you have been fair on Beady Eye. A series of not very funny negative comments or back handed compliments. Well that's how it looks to me anyway. Oh well, I guess it come with the territory of liking the less popular one. tom I know you love Beady Eye to death, like I do, but I have to say, that lennon is one of the fair quoters here. his opnions have good points and are not meaningless or full of hate. He seems like a Beady EYe fan, taht is not afraid to say, what he doesn`t like. I love Beady Eye but their ignorance in using the same old oasis tracks that we have heard on every fucking single oasis tour (bored to death), written by no member of Beady Eye, although they had written gems like "turn up the sun", "keep the dream alive", "boy with the blues" etc. makes me wanna throw plums at them^^

I hate how George Lucas edited in Hayden Christensen at the end of Return of The Jedi. Tough shit. Star Wars is probably an exception, unlike DM it's virtually impossible to find the originals anywhere You're forced to accept the changes and retcons. And on the subject if that edit was to tie it into the prequals they should have removed his ghost all together! The Shaw version made sense before the prequals because Anakin was supposed to be a hero and a good man who was corrupted by the darkside beyond his control so the redemption made sense. Christensen's was a character that was always dark and if wasn't kept in check had psychopathic tendencies anyway, he was certainly never portrayed as selfless like Jedi were supposed to be and rarely heroic! Plus he didn't need much convincing to start slaughtering children. Chucking Sidious down a well was nowhere near enough to redeem him so it was stupid. Not as dumb as the miniaturized, cartoony Jabba scene in ANH or that unbearable singing bit in Jedi at Jabbas palace. Those were real what the hell were they thinking moments. Sorry to go off topic but any chance to talk about Star Wars lol

Wouldn't it be hilarious if they replaced Guigsy with Andy Bell on the album cover!

Headline is a bit misleading, making a story out of drunk tweets. Unless I've missed something he hasn't asked anyone to boycott anything has he?

Reading the comments section below that article makes me more mad than what Liam said. What Liam is saying makes perfect sense to me, Def Maybe was fucking perfect as it is, no need to remaster in all honesty, its just a money making exersise from my point of view. I will buy it to add to my collection, no doubt about that. Would i be fussed if they suddenly changed their mind and didn't release it afterall? No, not really tbh. Wouldn't bother me in the slightest. But Liam asking Oasis fans to boycott anything to do with Oasis is just not going to happen, he should know that. yeah I'm actually not concerned about the remastering, it IS fine as is. I am buying because I like to have a physical copy of everything and I don't have DM yet, and I think this is kind of a cool collector's piece. I will always buy into that kind of junk lol. don't think there is a DVD, it's just some live recordings on the bonus discs that haven't been heard before right ?

What a knobhead! Who's he to decide what people "buy in to"? I'd rather buy a DM re-issue than the next BE album!

Who takes Liam seriously anyway? I don't mean that in an offensive way, but I always find a lot of his comments hilarious and sometimes he does talk a lot of sense. But if you take him seriously, you'll end up not liking him.
To an extent he's right though, there isn't much you could do to the 11 tracks on that album to make them significantly better. "Why remaster something that's ever been mastered?"
I'm buying the re-release anyway, although I'm not sure what to go for...the Vinyl or the Deluxe 3 CD set. This decisions has led me to procrastinate for hours on end!
