I FINALLY got my 3-CD set in the mail today. Love the packaging, quotes and layout. Can't wait for MG and BHN. Awesome!

Did anyone also buy the single CD version for their collection? It's here in my record shop for $10, which is pretty good for a new release. Didn't buy it but I was thinking about the pros/cons...

Why buy the single CD version for $10, when you can get the 3-CD Deluxe Version (which bloody well includes what you get in the single CD version) for $20? Does that make any sense? "No, it does not", is the answer you're looking for. And if you're insinuating getting the single CD version, in addition to the 3-CD Delxue Version, then I advise you to look up the definition of "superfluous." #BeingADickOnHereSince2005

only blasting this for the first time from CD3 (each session separately) to Cd1
CD3 is fantactic. Liam is godlike on Digs'ys Dinner. Manchester Academy Noel solo set officially released is mega and those demos sound good. and Half The World Away from an hotel room.. amazing.
b-sides sound a lot better (I'm no expert anyway) Supersonic is finally fun to listen to. didnt think the live sounded right on the first release. that and I Will Believe. guitars are more... precise? also on the acoustic tracks.. end of Spaceman his guitar work I've never bothered now it sounds clear. Alive sound GOOD.

So for father's day I got my long awaited Oasis Deluxe from my wife today!!!
I got it at a Best Buy in TN. They had only 1 copy. I snagged it. It was price at 23.99... which is the most I've ever paid for a album. I mean this is a deluxe 3 disc... and I'm a huge fan.... so it wasn't an issue.
I just felt like 20 bucks was about right. I didn't mind paying the little extra. The tax here is 9.25% so that added another 2 dollars to it!!!!!
I could notice a few differences in the sound. Just gave the disc 1 a listen so far and browsed through the booklet quickly. Looks very nice. Happy with this.

No replies to my post lol...
I did get this later than everyone else it seems...
Anyone prefer the remaster to the original?
I'm not sure which I like better, they are very very simulair which is a good thing I think.
The biggest difference I can tell if mostly the volume mix... things sound a hair more clear and brighter on the remix. Louder.

I definitely prefer the remaster, probably mostly because I'm a details person. I like picking apart songs. One of the most apparent differences for me is the clarity in the drums in Columbia.

Yo, I was thinking... is their anything on this 20th remaster that we didn't already have out there in download form?
Anything on this was "special" and hadn't been heard before?

Probably only the Half The a World away from the hotel room, and the strings from Whatever
That's what makes the extras shit, we have them all

The Eden Studios mix of Columbia on the reissue is a variant of the mix heard on the Safety Copy of Masters set, with an extended instrumental outro derived from the Edit Section on the CDR. Anjali Dutt has confirmed that this was a mix done at the time. Parts of the edit section, aside from the mantra-like chant and the Tony Benn sample, are also used on Owen Morris's final mix for the album.

Please, remaster is not Remix!!! Is not a work to hear "different layers". Just a level or EQ process. And yes, in the case of "Slide away" we could say is a different mix (or edit, not meaning cut). Maybe the same version from "STC". I won't buy any remasterization work. I have almost every extra track! I spent a lot of chilean money in the first original UK version of DM vinyl and I'm really happy ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Remasterization is not a remix work!

Are we aware of the quantity of these boxsets yet? A seller on eBay is saying the set is limited to 1500. I'm sure I haven't seen this figure anywhere else though

Hey, I still haven't gotten around to getting it, I'm wondering if the 3CD version has the dimensions of a normal CD jewel case or is it bigger?

Hey, I still haven't gotten around to getting it, I'm wondering if the 3CD version has the dimensions of a normal CD jewel case or is it bigger? It's thicker as it contains a bigger booklet than normal and 3ds. I'm away from it right now but I'd estimate 2.25-2.5x thicker than a normal CD case. I can't remember but I don't thick it's any taller than my other cases.

I was hoping there would have been a demo or alternate version of Bring it on Down but they didn't include it. Maybe in the 30th anniversary then.

I'm probably way too late to let you know now but here is the 3 disc version next to the original 1 disc for comparison. it is thicker obviously and a tiny bit taller. ![](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/thumbnailer/zemVbGHL4IOWfwAPRpeW.jpg)
