This has that acoustic guitar intro but has the solo as it is on the album no? I haven't got time to check it now so if you could do it that'd be great ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/A9bL_RjIN9bOhnrQxKjN.gif) Sorry just looked at Marcus Russell did get him to reinstate the second half of the solo so I did just make that up :/

I always figured the "Slash" bit was just when the chords go to Em and Noel thrills the B string on the 15th fret. Hardly Slash from Guns N Rus ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/A9bL_RjIN9bOhnrQxKjN.gif)

I dont get all this shit tbh... The album sounds the same to me.
But apparently a remaster is just fucking about with the EQ? And a remix would be removing tracks etc..
I read somewhere that Noel's backing vocals from Slide Away are removed, so my thoughts are it must of been a remix? At least that song

Well, I'm sure they'll see the disappointment for the DM remastering and maybe will step it up a notch for the other two.
I still think Be Here Now should be a remix.

I read somewhere that Noel's backing vocals from Slide Away are removed, so my thoughts are it must of been a remix? At least that song Not all of Noel's vocals from Slide Away are missing, just the bits where Liam sings "slide in baby, together we'll fly", up until the chorus. The Safety Masters CDs prove that that mix existed in 1994, so it's not a new bit of work. Either they keep taking the wrong one of the shelves, or Noel has requested that that mix now be used from now on.

The zep stuff sounds the same. Great no matter but hey enjoy the tech stuff. Which Zep stuff are you referring to? There have been many different releases of Zep stuff and some of them sound very different. The more recent Page/Marino remaster of III is handily bested by the Classic Records 200g vinyl that Bernie Grundman cut from the original un-eq'd master tapes. The early CD masterings by Barry Diament are no slouch either, but I'd put my cut of III up against every other version and bet good money that just about anyone with average hearing will notice the differences. Every other version sounds like a recording, the 200g Classic vinyl sounds like you're IN the recording. But hey, enjoy the non-tech stuff I guess?

For a visual representation of what people are hearing with slammed masters, this is Acquiesce from the Some Might Say CD single which was fully dynamic (and would love to get the entire Definitely Maybe album mastered like this) on top compared to Acquiesce from The Masterplan original CD release on bottom, the top one is fully dynamic and scores DR12 on the dynamic range meter, the bottom one from The Masterplan is slammed and only scores DR5. ![](http://s10.postimg.org/yx2shkl0p/Acquiesce_CD5_vs_CD.png) As for whether Be Here Now could get any worse, this is what the first track of the original CD looks like in waveform: ![](http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/9770/oasis2.png) I guess they could slam the intro a little harder, lol.

Steve Hoffman in the house.
It is interesting to see tho. Has anyone done this for RM vs Original creation release yet?

I can hear Noel taking a very audible breath before singing the first line on Sad Song, was that on the original vinyl? I wouldn't know as the only version of the song I own is from 'The Dreams We Have As Children'.
