best promo so far about the Reissue is by Liam! first his tweet "dont buy..." , then visiting with Bonehead the exhibition and finally putting the world on fire with five letters ... still Liam is a great force when it comes to Oasis Of course...especially because I don't see anyone else bothering to advertise the re-issues to begin with.

When this was first announced I was even contemplated getting the deluxe boxset such was my excitement however once the initial buzz died down I realised that it was a bit of a rip-off and I'll be just as happy with the 3 disk version. However now the release date dawns on us, I don't even think I'm going to get that. I've just relooked at the tracklisting and there isn't one song which justifies me spending £15. Disk 1 is obviously going to be remastered but DM is a masterpiece as it is. Also what happens to my original CD which I've had for 14 years? Will it be so different that I'll either be in a 'remaster' mood or 'original' mood? I doubt it I have all of Disk 2 on one disk or another, And Disk 3 isn't worth £15 of my money at first viewing, I might just be a cheapskate and wait for people reviews on here BHN remastered on the other hand will be a definite purchase

I'm buying the box set...only because I see it as a collector's item more than anything. And Brian Cannon is a friend.

The fact we've had no word on actual quantity of these sets i would assume there making a shit load of them. That's a major factor as to why I'm not buying the deluxe set. I honestly think that these will be on eBay for around £50 this time next year

I've said it before but the £109 they want for this deluxe set would buy you a ticket to Noel's upcoming tour as well as EVERYTHING Noel releases for the HFB2 album campaign! And probably a T-shirt! I'm saving my money for that Fair play to anyone who has preordered the set though! Im sure it'll be awesome I just can't justify the price considering what you actually get for your money

Have people spoke on here about the inclusion of the Married With Children demo on disc 3?
Surely it's not going to be the demo we already have that is practically identical to the version on DM? I do remember there being a version leak with slight percussion. Not sure if I have that on my computer anyway more though

I honestly think that these will be on eBay for around £50 this time next year I don't mean "collector's item" in the sense that I care about the selling value of it...I'm not trying to sell it later. It's a collector's item for ME, in that I'd like to collect as much '90s era Oasis memorabilia as possible. Also I'm pretty sure they're producing these box-sets to order...i.e., they're only making as many of them as people order. Why do you think they started pre-orders three months in advance? These aren't going to be sitting in warehouses or store shelves...the supply and demand is 1:1. I'd never consider buying this used, anyway...part of the enjoyment for me will be unwrapping everything like a kid on Christmas morning, seeing the records freshly pressed and printed, leafing through the art booklet. It'll be like watching your favorite movie for the very first time...there's nothing like it. It's cool if other people don't feel the same way I do on this, but I'm really looking forward to getting mine and I'll also be supporting a friend. I have no regrets at all.

The booklet is the one thing that I would like to own, I'm sure that'll be a really good read. Also the exclusive 7" looks interesting. I'll be keeping a keen look out for these on eBay in the coming months, try and nab a copy if the price is right! For the first time since 2005 though I've been priced out of an Oasis release at the current price So Brian Cannon is a friend of yours? Could you not have got him to get you a freebie

As of now I'm only buying this for a Argentinian friend. I don't really see the point in me owning this other then a collector's item.

The Japanese Bonus tracks are a different mix of Shakermaker and the Mannow Valley recording of Bring It On Down

Waste of money. Ridiculously overpriced too. I shall be dusting down DM over the next couple of weeks and sticking the hard copy in the car CD player again. And itll sound no different to the remastered con.

I'm very eagerly awaiting the news of the MG set tracklisting...and even more still, BHN. I think we must be getting some news soon! We are almost at the second half of the year and there's 2 releases ahead. I think MG for autumn and BHN for christmas is a safe bet. So I'd expect an MG announcement by june and a BHN one by october.

Roll on next Monday and let's hope for some treats when we get the MG reissue track listing. My head will explode if we get some unheard songs from the MG sessions. Surely there must be a few in the vaults??

I think that's the reason for the higher price compared to the Dig Out Your Soul set. They had so many of those deluxe DOYS sets after the initial pre-orders, you couldn't give them away and I think they learned their lesson from that. But I still say they might have had more people bite on the deluxe set if, instead of including a bag and keychain and all that extra swag, they had included an LP or two of all the B-sides that was exclusive to the deluxe version. I mean the reason I ended up buying the deluxe edition of DOYS was because they had the bonus CD tracks on vinyl as well.

The only thing i dislike about it is how the vinyl is packaged inside that gigantic fold-out book. I love DOYS though.....so i can't get enough of that record and am glad they did that kinda box set for it. This DM box set seems much better planned with the CDs and Vinyl separated, so it will be easier to use and listen to. I am really looking forward to getting this box for what is my favourite album of all time. Some exclusive extra vinyl in there too which i really dig. A lot of money? SURE.....but these things don't happen all the time.....and i'm buying it like the definitive official release of this seminal album.
