I want the 3CD which after the conversion and shipping, would be $35.71 Canadian which I would be willing to pay. But is it worth seeing if it shows up somewhere in Canadian prices? I reckon it will go for around $40 at HMV Canada, unless you live in the NWT haha

I wonder if this particular version of Strange Thing is sung by Noel? Maybe Noel was referring to the Half The World Away demo? Just a thought.

Wow. This day has been pretty overwhelming in terms of everything Oasis. I still can't really sort it all out. Also the amount of money I spontaneously threw out the window. Spent the whole morning at work hitting "refresh" on a lot of websites (mainly oasisinet.com), while getting panically nervous about the demotape selling out... Who was really expecting something like this? A reunion could really be ruled out beforehands, so I was like extremely oversensed (is that an english word?) by tomorrow mornings (or nights, of course) events. Right now I'm clicking through the Memorabilia section on the new site - it just won't stop loading, revealing new treasures. Just look at Bonehead's wifes private scrapbook.Amazing. Wish it would be better resolution. Then there's also two amazing news stories about Noel's second record emerging. A single hint of such story, we'd normally have discussed and interpreted to death over the course of several weeks...but I guess we'll all need some days to sort it all out, still there's so much more to come this year. What a treat this day has been!

So exciting all this.
1. For other Americans, buying the box from Amazon.UK save you about $70. 2. The supersonic 12" repress for RecordStore day might suggest we could get a special one off all single box? That's be awesome (and ridiculously expensive)

alright sticker shock is setting in. I don't know what to do !!!! lol have a feeling if I don't get this now I will regret it but damn, $150 is a lot of money... wish I knew 'how' limited these actually are. if it turns out to be a real collector piece that holds its value then that would be cool to get it now, but really do I want to pay an extra $100 for a tote bag and postcards... (YES if I was independently wealthy.) I don't even have a vinyl player, it's that book that keeps bringing me back to it, love things like that. decisions decisions

Just bought the vinyl from the official store for around $60 including shipping to the USA. I don't own nor listen to CD's anymore (who does?) and the vinyl comes with a download of all the extra tunes so t'was an easy choice for me...

I'm feeling a bit of "sticker shock" (thats new vocabulary for me) since buying it after work today. I knew I was going to get the demo cassette and the 3CD but I also had the same feelings as you did about the box: "I think I might regret it if I don't pick it up, don't know how many there are" "It is kind of a big deal, its a big release" "But I get everything Oasis, I might as well. How could I not?" Then on the other hand: "Well, is all the extras necessary or worthwhile?" (not really) "I didn't buy the DOYS and LP boxsets and I'm managed to live perfectly fine to date" "That is a LOT of money when the total comes up...$165 is one thing but (with the tape) and shipping, it comes to $265. Holy shit. And there's still MG and BHN" I eventually caved in and bought it, for 2 reasons: 1) I was in a hurry to be somewhere and the webpage wasn't wholly cooperative. Didn't want to wait till tomorrow and maybe lose by chance. and 2) one day, I'll never be able to get away with spending this kind of money on myself. Batchelorhood FTW. But now I'm kind of thinking that the 3CD and Cassette would have been fair enough. I have a feeling the hardback book will be the same thing as whats in the 3Cd but larger size and format.

When I pre-ordered my box set from Amazon.co.uk, it only came out to 94 pounds total, shipping included!! And I live in the States! I have no clue why it's only that much, but I preordered right away. When you take shipping into account, I save around $70 ordering through Amazon.

I just ordered and it came out to 91 pounds

How can I cancel my order from the offical site? Wondering the same thing myself. I decided to get the super deluxe later as I'm a bit skint and add a second demo tape so clicked 'reorder' but it's still showing the box set and now three demo tapes, meaning I'm £140 down rather than a mere £120. I've emailed them but not heard anything back yet.

Anyone know if you order the vinyl of Amazon if you get the mp3 tracks like you do if you buy the vinyl on the official Oasis store?

Has Whatever (Strings) ever been released unofficially? There's an article in this week's NME about the re-release with some comments from Bonehead and Mark Coyle on the unreleased tracks (I guess these may be from the booklet). Anyway, it says that 'Whatever (Strings)' is an early version recorded by Mark Coyle - I'm guessing its from the Boardwalk, and possibly something (albeit in much better quality) that we already have? Mark Coyle say's he wishes he'd recorded more of this stuff! Doh! I haven't got a scanner so can't upload a picture - sorry.

What a treat this day has been! Totally, agree. I can't believe how brilliant the new website is - there's so much great stuff on there it will take weeks to go through it all! It must have been a massive effort to sort all this out. I agree that Kate Arthur's scrap book is probably the highlight that I've seen so far - I just wish it could've have been in readable resolution.

Whatever (Strings): recorded on a portable cassette machine at Maison Rouge Studios by Mark Coyle. www.oasisinet.com/#!/shop/definitely-maybe.html Scroll down to the tracklisting and there is wee bits of information of some of the tracks.
