Liam should say something nice about someone at some point. It'd be refreshing. (And before anyone mentions Justin Bieber and One Direction, I think there's a healthy dose of irony and sarcasm behind those comments.) Liam is very nice to the 1960s, The Beatles, John Lennon, The Stone Roses and Brian Jones. It's a shame he's so musically conservative, certainly when compared to the likes of Brian Jones and the Beatles.

I wonder what Liam would make of Tame Impala and the Lennon-aping?

I wonder what Liam would make of Tame Impala and the Lennon-aping? He's probably jealous that one man (Kevin Parker) created all those interesting sounds and songs.

He's obsessed with people who were pushing boundaries 40-45 years ago but has no time for people/bands doing the same today. A waste if I say so.

Yeah it's a good album, was just wondering if Liam would approve of someone bettering his Lennon impression (ten-fold) I have gotta say though, if Liam, Beady Eye or Oasis had made an album SO like 66-67 Beatles they would have been slaughtered. Taking nothing away from Parker as it is a very good album, it's just strange how some people are praised for imitating the Beatles and others are slammed

I've never felt he *loves* music and actually listens to much of it.

None of Lennon's songs before or after that point were psychedelic. Lennon was all over the place musically but for some reason music critics like to always link Lennon with the Revolver sound.

The irony also is that for all of the Lennon worship, he was so wasted during that period that it was actually McCartney, Martin and Geoff Emerick that created most of the sounds associated with Lennon's Beatles tracks. Especially on Sgt Pepper/Magical Mystery Tour.

Be nice to see people who like LG on an Oasis forum for a change It's possible to like him but be critical of his music and behaviour. I don't think any musician or artist should be beyond criticism. And there seems to be plenty on the forum who are pro everything Liam does.

You can deny it until your blue in your little bob dylan face but the likes of you only ever seem to pop up in the beady eye section to slag off LG. I wonder if the Kasabian forums are scattered with avatars of depressing faces ready to bring down their frontman at every opportunity. Or maybe their frontman isn't good nor popular enough for them to feel the need. Maybe that's just it.

Just the other day I praised 'Soon Come Tomorrow' I have also on other occasions in the past praised LG/Beady Eye. Of course there will be an element who only criticise LG/Beady Eye but also there are many who blindly praise them. Those are stone cold facts. I don't really know what Kasabian have to do with it? My Bob Dylan face/depressing avatar? Ermmm Ok. You sound a tad wound up over Liam being criticised which doesn't really bother me and as I said, no artist or musician should be above criticism.

Liam appears to be pretty nice and friendly to his fans. That's all I'm really bothered about. He can slag Robbie Williams off till the cows come home for all I care.

I try to avoid many of Liam's comments now.
Which is pretty sad. You shouldn't have to ignore just about every non singing word that comes from your favorite lead singer's mouth.

I've never felt he *loves* music and actually listens to much of it. I've mentioned this before on here. I think it also holds him back as a songwriter, he should be listenin' to as much music as possible & even if it is new music who cares, may inspire him to write good tunes.

"Beady Eye, HE was famous in the nineties..." Robbie Williams' fan base of middle-aged women loving it, when Liam inevitably gets asked about it and responds, I'm guessing the Liam Gallagher "fan base" will then tut at Liam the arsehole
