To be honest, guys don't really 'read' FHM, rather they 'look' at it. But I saw his twitter page and it seems pretty legitimate - he's been on twitter a while. Surely somebody can't be that pathetic and sad to pretend they work for FHM? they do alot more than look at it ;D That's true, though when you are in a newsagent having a quick glance through magazines on the shelf, you can't exactly wap it out for a quick one... well you can, but only if you're determined to get yourself on the Sex Offenders Register. |

I am only surprised that the NME is reporting it as a rumor if it is indeed true. They would have to have been near the top of the list of media outlets to be informed of an imminent announcement. Anyone here in media? How far in advance do they let the journalist know? I thought there was a good chance of it being true when I first read this thread yesterday. Glad that there seems to be more corroboration. Fingers crossed that we're 4 days out from news. I am hoping website/single/album title @ least (if not release date) announcement. There had been rumors of a few summer gigs...so a couple small gig announcements would be great as well. I would think a press conference is a great idea if you are big enough to warrant one. After all that ensures you get a decent amount of coverage in every magazine/paper at the outset...and then you still have the one-on-one interviews with any of those sources down the line closer to the release. Plus for Noel hopefully many of the really boring questions will be out of the way. He can say once what he thinks of BDI and DGSS and it'll be out there, but that is probably hoping for too much. yes, high-profile artists' announcements / press conference invites tend to be sent out at short notice and yes, it does happen that the invite's accompanied by a note to keep the info under wraps. just to answer your question :-) |

Why would the Sun make up a press conference happening?
Some of you lot overthink stuff too much. Where is the gain in that?
Especially just at the end of a barely related story about Nobby Williams mouthing off because he's injected a bit too much of the testosterone that he has been told to take by his doctors because he is not man enough to produce his own like every other fucker?
There will be a press conference of Wednesday where Noel will announce his album, the title, the songs, lead singles and possibly some tour dates. And I for one can't fucking wait.
