For fuck's sake. Liam's management/Warners should stop trying to make For What It's Worth into a hit. It's NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! This guy gets it. Do Bold. At least it's real. I quite like FWIW. I just think he does a better job with some of the other songs live and would rather he perform Greedy Soul if they actually are releasing it soon. Though Bold sounds good live also from the gigs I've seen.

Well, one of them is having a feud. No prizes for guessing which. Some pretty hurtful stuff in there, the two supposed adults need to sort it out, or Liam just needs to stop filling his kids with spite. If you think it's one sided, then you haven't been paying attention. The papers just didn't report (and rightly so) when Anais had her turn first. But none of the media should be reporting on any of this in the first place. Poor kids now getting bullied by grown adults because of it.

Greg Kurstin on Liam from Entertainment Weekly: ew.com/music/2017/09/14/greg-kurstin-foo-fighters-beck-sia-liam-gallagher-paul-mccartney/For the Oasis singer’s solo debut, Kurstin worked on four songs — “Wall of Glass,” “Bold,” “Paper Crown,” and “Come Back to Me” — and flexed some new production muscles in the process. “[Liam] was referencing things that I love but haven’t gotten a chance to do before on a recording — earlier Stones and Bowie and stuff like that,” Kurstin says. “It was really fun for me to break out that gear in my studio and just try to get the raunchiest sounds I possibly could. I would pound on the drums and he would cheer me on. That fired me up to make the tracks aggressive and loud and to get the dirtiest, loudest sounds I could.” And Kurstin says he and his fellow collaborator, Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt, had a breeze working with the notoriously cantankerous Gallagher. “He seemed into the sounds I was adding, so that got me really comfortable,” Kurstin explains. “He can be really funny, just telling stories, and then he gets on the microphone and he sings and he’s got that amazing voice. I had such a great experience with him.”

I would imagine that fans want to see Liam for the Oasis songs, not his solo album.
I'm a fairly new fan compared to most of you, but my number one reason for wanting to see Liam is to see Liam. Honestly, at the moment, he could sing show tunes for all I care. But of course it's hard to beat Liam singing Oasis songs and I'm glad he's doing that.
I did not see them during their heyday as I was a poor college kid in the mid/late 90s and they weren't exactly huge in America (though I liked and was familiar with all the hits). But my friend took me to Supersonic last year and I walked out afterwards and immediately proceeded to buy the entire Oasis discography, watched every concert DVD I could get my hands on, and started reading/watching old interviews. I didn't have any pre-conceived notions going in (before the documentary, I had to ask my friend which was which brother) but it became clear to me that the draw (for me) was as much Liam as the songs and I've now seen him four times this summer with three more coming up later in the year and I gotta say I'm enjoying the new material as much as the Oasis stuff. I've even got my teenage goddaughter into it. In fact I've been seeing a lot of college-aged kids enjoying themselves at the shows and I think that bodes well for Liam expanding his audience beyond core Oasis fans.

Ehhh, that's a self righteous and pretentious comment from Gene. You shouldn't respect any of your family simply because they existed before you. They should be deserving of respect given. If they are acting like fools, I see no reason to not call them out on their bullshit. But maybe doing it in public isn't the best way to address grievances. It also implies that NG is bringing up his kids without teaching them to be respectful. To be fair to her, Liam's been making her dad out to be some sort of shape-shifting lizard for months without him saying ANYTHING back, bar maybe one jeer tonight that he's been saying since the 90s. I've no problem with Lennon/Gene sticking up for Liam though. They're hardly going to say 'Aha yes! My dad's drunk tweeting at 3am what a character!' I doubt Noel hasn't said anything, or reacted. Just not on social media where he'd (deservedly) get shit like Liam does. My first reaction to Anais telling that Oasis fan Liam's "not worth it, he didn't even write the tunes" is that poor kid was probably just parroting what she's been hearing at home all her life.

It's definitely not my way of handling things.. but I'm just not surprised anymore about what they both say and do Usually it's not surprising. This is a little bit. There was no ambiguity here. Like you said, both brothers are wrong in the end with this petty back-and-forth. Obvious to me Liam loves Noel and lashes out when he's hurt, and I HATE that it happens on Twitter but it's important to remember we dont know what happens behind the scenes. As an aside, I love this new tweet from Gene though: "I was raised to respect my uncle, I do not chat shit or disrespect him in anyway...just goes to show how differently children are brought up'

I'd love RNRS as last song of main set. Open with Hello or Acquiesce. Leave it to the crowd to sing noels bit I'm not really a big Noel fan but I don't want Acquiesce without both brothers. I just think it's one of those songs where you'd feel the one missing and I'd rather just concentrate on Liam during his show. But Hello and Acquiesce would be absolutely perfect openers for an Oasis reunion (if it ever happens)! I'd love for Liam to rotate into his set the following songs at some point: Bring It On Down, Columbia, Rockin' Chair, Some Might Say, Don't Go Away, Let's All Make Believe, Lyla, and Bag It Up. And definitely keep Be Here Now, he's been nailing that song every time from what I've seen. I'd drop Wonderwall, I understand the need for it at festivals and for the US shows but he can probably sub it with something else now. Maybe encore with Live Forever or Supersonic.

Anyone know how these pre-sale works? Do they spread out the tickets available? I was able to get two for Manchester waaaaay in the back, so I'm just wondering if you're basically screwed out of good seats if you wait for the general sale.

Have you lost the plot? I'm reacting to what you wrote and how it comes off while reading it. You make it sound like Patsy and Nicole were party girls living the celebrity lifestyle while Liam wanted to be more at home and calm. And that's why him and Debbie work. Blah blah blah. It sounds like you are pointing blame at patsy and Nicole. Liam was the one that drove a stake thru the heart of both marriages by his infidelity. First when he fathered a kid of Lisa Moorish while with Patsy and again when he got caught having the affair with Ivy Supersonic in NYC on the SOTSOG tour. Soon after divorced. Couple years later Liam is saying all the stuff he is currently saying about Debbie but at that time it was for Nicole. Then Liam gets nailed for having an affair with a NYC journalist (maybe Liam should steer clear of New York) and then leaves Nicole for Debbie who he was having an affair with as well. Sure there is always two sides to the story. We don't know all the facts but the ones we do know are awful and were given as the reasons for both his divorces. So not good. Maybe you should go read up on Liam Gallagher. We know that both Nicole and Debbie as well as the women named above that he had affairs with all knew he was married when they slept with him. Debbie was also in a relationship with a home of her own at the time. Patsy was with Liam, went back to Jim Kerr, then back to Liam. She says this herself in her book. I can't remember if she said there was an affair. These are not "flawless" women. What goes around comes around. Patsy was the most "celebrity driven." I read Patsy's autobiography a while back and she's much kinder about Liam than I would've expected given how the marriage ended. She loved and accepted him as he was in private but would go into "Pantomime Patsy" mode being all embarrassed and apologetic whenever he was being Liam rather than observing social decorum in front of her celebrity friends. She admits to regretting that. Patsy seems a lovely woman but even for just that reason alone that relationship was never going to last.

I just tried to get more tickets for Terminal 5 (NYC) for friends and it appears to be sold out. Assuming it's not a website error, that sucks for my friends but great for Liam! Trust me. You'll be able to walk up and scalp for face value.
Thanks, good to know! I just tried for Toronto also as I'm planning to be there for Thanksgiving but that's sold out as well.

Seen a couple of tweets saying Liam concert in Manila is half empty. A shame if true. A very big venue I think though, maybe a bit too ambitious. It's just too bad it's a Monday night. People working or have school and it takes two hours to go ten blocks anywhere in Manila traffic. And I'm only slightly exaggerating.

The apology was Liam's idea and who knows how much input he had but seems to me it was written with him and all his baggage in mind. In the Q interview a few months ago, it was said that Liam asked Simon Aldred to write him a song of apology that was regretful but not desperate because he was bad at making apologies.
I think this song has mass appeal and could potentially get him more listeners which is what Liam needs if we want another album out of him in the future. FWIW I'm really enjoying it. I didn't love Chinatown, but this one's already stuck in my head. I'm really excited for his performance on Colbert Monday night.
That's all fine, can we accept that he is not the last stand of punk/rock n roll or whatever he likes to portray himself as then? He's a pop artist hiring writers on spec to write soppy little ballads to please radio 2 listeners. He always says he doesn't care if no-one buys his music but signing to Warner Brothers and completely selling out on his image rather suggests otherwise. Stick it to the man Liam! If it was about the music he could easily have collaborated with his buddys like Death in Vegas, Chemical brothers etc. etc., done an album of him singing on songs of his peers. He chose not to. Well he's also said there's no point in making more music if he's not reaching people or something to that effect. Anecdotally speaking, there are people just discovering him now due to the recent output and totally still buying the rock legend image. So they must be doing something right.

I think I'd feel better about it if Liam wasn't going around slagging off everyone else for being beige and not rock n roll enough etc, accusing Noel of being corporate, while he's singing songs written by Adele's writers. There's always been a huge disconnect between Liam's words about being the last true rock n roll star and representing punk or whatever, and the stuff he actually records. Which is what leads to some disappointment I think. As for the song, I guess it's nice? Which isn't the word I'd want to use about a Liam song. Like a song designed by committee, which is horrible. It's obvious someone in marketing decided they need a nice ballad and an apology, since their strategy seems to be built around the 'new' Liam. Yeh, really keeping it real there.I'm not sure there's anything left of the original vocal either. Effects and autotuning all over it, some strange points where it's been edited together pretty badly as already noted. I don't know why he can't record at a lower volume, it would surely help with a song like this, but that video of him recording it shows he screaming into the mic. Weird. The apology was Liam's idea and who knows how much input he had but seems to me it was written with him and all his baggage in mind.
