How the hell wasn't Evil eye on the album. It's miles better than Shine a light.

The production on the album is great. Would love Noel to ditch Sardy and get in Sitek.

I agree but in a way it's cool that all of them b-sides are so good. I think the same, how many band have those songs as b-sides? I can't think of any band that has that many quality b-sides.

I hate that he released the Masterplan as a b-side album. They could have had another utterly fucking brilliant album if he'd stopped putting A side material out as B sides. Really foolish stuff from Noel around that time. I agree but in a way it's cool that all of them b-sides are so good.

I noticed it with Four Letter Word. That song is all about Noel. Did anyone else made the connection of the line "It feels like you've blown a fifty amp fuse" with what happened during the SOTSOG tour in Mexico when Noel's amp burst on fire? I thought Four letter word was about Andy's ex?

Is anyone really surprised by Liam's Beatles references in songs anymore? I mean he had a song called Beatles & Stones on the last album He needs to stop it though it's not good for him.

just downloaded the good quality leak, will listen to it later. so far only heard FOTF, SBOTA, IR, and SL. can't wait to hear the rest loving it so far Also a positive is Black Sabbath's album leaked more than 10 days ago, so hopefully the fact BE only leaked last night (in good quality) won't have as much of an impact as people thought. Black Sabbath's album hasn't leaked yet.

Fact is Noel is by far a better songwriter than anyone from Beady eye. I agree the production could have been better on NGHFB but the songs are still superb.

Nah i don't think Noel wanted to be a frontman. As said above he just wanted to write all the songs again and make albums when he wants too. He has enough famous buddies and hangers on to form a supergroup if he wanted to go back to his Definitely Maybe role. If he didnt want to be the frontman, he wouldn't be. But he would still have to put up with a lead singer and all the bullshit that comes with them. It's much easier for him to sing his own songs than telling someone else how to.

I don't Noel wanted to be a frontman. Unless him looking like the most nervous person in the stage for the first half of his tour was the biggest act ever. It took him a long time before he became comfortable as a frontman for his tour and he did look extremely nervous and worried about it. Greatest actor in the world right here. Amazing how he sells his nervousness so well I do think he wanted more control, but I don't think he wanted to be a frontman. Couldn't disagree more. First of all being nervous about something doesn't mean you don't want to do it. Secondly he sang more and more, in studio an on record, as Oasis went on and clearly loved it. If he didnt want to be a frontman he wouldn't have done, he'd already said he was going to make an album on his own anyway. Noel blatantly wanted to branch out on his own and there's nothing wrong with that. The fallout with Liam was probably more of a catalyst for ending things for good rather than an indefinite hiatus, Nah i don't think Noel wanted to be a frontman. As said above he just wanted to write all the songs again and make albums when he wants too.

Sons of the Stage is still one of my favorite tune BDI has recorded. Still BDI's best recording imo.
