I didn't even realize there was a Noel Gallagher forum on his website until now. I returned after the new single came out. Was hoping for more activity, but hardly any. Maybe in the next few months people will come back to it. Still much busier than the beady eye section

Love this song, Gutted we will probably never hear Liam sing it live.
But would be delighted if Noel sang it on his next tour (Highly unlikely tho)

Maybe that's why Liam and noel are on better terms, Liam is trying to get in Noel's good books for a reunion.

Well he already has a decent number of songs to go solo but I would love to see the people on here going ape shit if he still sang Noel songs at a Liam Gallagher gig. But are they good enough?

If Noel did reject Four Letter Word for DOYS then he's an idiot. It would have fit perfectly with the rocking start to the album, I think it's the best song any of them have produced since the break up. Kill For A Dream is dreadful so I'm with him there. I quite like Millionaire, perhaps Noel couldn't get his head around a song about Salvador Dali. Nah i like Bag it up better as a opener.

I hope Russell Pritchard is back on bass. His back up vocals are great as well.

I would interpret all this rant as an overreacted backlash to the new single. I dont think anybody was expecting another wonderwall, but a song that would bring as much satisfaction as TDOYAM brought (to me anyway). The new song could have easily been a b-side to the last album, and you all know it. In my opinion, I heard it for about 7 times yesterday, trying to force myself to like it, but havent listened to it again since. Now that's rare for me when it comes to Oasis/Noel music. That's how bad I think the song is. I can totally get the frustration, after 4 years of nothing new. But that's not to say that his whole solo career is gonna be underwhelming. People just overreact, that's all. Who the hell wants another wonderwall? It's THE most overrated oasis song ever.

Well, Oasis themselves can't be placed in line with legendary bands like the Beatles to me, and let's be honest, after Be Here Now they were still big but not legendary. They had the potential to be, but they just didn't continue in the same line. Noel has written a few all time classics while in Oasis, like Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Live Forever etc. And while HFB was a good album, and this new single is alright too, he hasn't written a new Wonderwall yet. And with that I don't mean a song with the same chords, I mean a song that is so universal and that everyone, no matter where you are, can sing along to. A songwriter like McCartney isn't just remembered for his work in The Beatles. He also released some all time classics during his solo career, like Maybe I'm Amazed, Live and let die, Band on the run etc. Noel hasn't. And I don't know if he has any more Wonderwalls in store for us. I hope he doesn't.

Listening to the new song makes me sad how much better the first album would have sounded without sardy.

I wish god help us all and come on outside was on it. Would you not rather have two brand new songs that may be better than those two? That's the way I look at it man Ok i wish they were at least bonus tracks

Liam warned you all a couple months ago... "HOW CAN YOU REMASTER SOMETHING THATS ALREADY BEING MASTERED.DONT BUY INTO IT.LET IT BE LG X" I think what it comes down to is that the recording technology hasn't dramatically changed since the 90's. Which is why you won't get the dramatic effect you were all expecting. I mean, when all The Beatles albums were remastered in 2009, that was some 50 years after their earlier releases. 50 years for dramatic changes in basic recording and much better sound quality. The remasted version of Nirvana's In Utero which was originally released in 93 sounds great unlike the definitely maybe remaster.

Mine's coming from Amazon. Not released until the 19th in the US. Should be here this coming week, innit. For those that have it - is there a noticeable enough different on the CD VERSION of the DM Re-Master? I'm resisting the urge to play my regular DM version, hoping for a good experience this week on the new edition, but I'm fearing the changes won't be noticeable. Anyone have any input on this? No, just a bit louder. Yeah there really is no difference.

I think I must have overplayed these songs because Definitely Maybe doesn't really do it for me anymore. The songs are longer than they need to be. Contrary to Noel's stance, I think What's The Story is a far superior album with much better songwriting, and I enjoy it loads from start to finish. Definitely Maybe is a bit of a slog in comparison.

Can't believe we're still talking about this. I don't believe Noel will ever rejoin Oasis or any other band for that matter. The man's in full control as he's always loved being, he doesn't have to deal with a band or Liam's peculiar temper, he can do what he wants when he wants it and, lucky for him, his solo carreer is very successful! Plus, he was never really a band member type of guy. He was pretty reclusive on tour and wanted to take long breaks between recordings. So why would he go back to being part of the band he's left more than once with his brother with whom he fought regularly? He would have no upside to doing it apart from playing the old songs. The only thing I see in those tweets are either Liam just poking fun at his followers, Liam wanting to get into the news or Liam renaming his band to Oasis (as they are Oasis minus Noel). A reunion? I don't believe it. What he said. Why would Noel want to reunite? He can't stand Liam and doesn't need the money and is recording his album so won't even have time to do it anyway.
