Not a single memorable chorus or melody.
Listening to Noel's Just Let It Come Down Over Me and can't get the melody out of my head.
BE has me already annoyed that "the word is up if you're tough enough" keeps rattling around. Plus the "oasis" like tunes like I'm Just Saying and Iz Rite have NO CHORUS MELODY...

Let It Come Down Over Me is a Noel song. You're in the wrong section, this is the Beady Eye section

Not all about big choruses you know.... Then what's it about? Lots of things, music doesn't all follow the Noel Gallagher formula....

Hey I know, let's throw some hate speech around when someone makes an opinion....
Playpen this one mods. It's already off the rails.

Hey I know, let's throw some hate speech around when someone makes an opinion.... Playpen this one mods. It's already off the rails. You're right, the dismissal of a persecution complex fostered through the rationalization of unsubstantiated opinions, the venting of uninformed emotions, and the apparent habit of acting on those opinions and emotions while ignoring or dismissing others' inclinations, without having the personal experience to weigh one inclination against another in any critical way is totally infringing on "hate speech" territory. You sap.

As someone who enjoys the work of a diverse group of artists - Neu!, The Feelies, Yo La Tengo, Jessie Ware, and a host of other musicians something is missing from these recordings. I honestly do not care about lyrics, but a lot of the stuff here is cringe worthy. And this comes from someone who adores the Real Estate song Suburban Beverage which has a litany of "Budweiser, Sprite do you feel alright?" for nearly 2/3 of the song. Despite this it has a great deal of ambiance and charm to it. Beady Eye musically are still trying to write anthems sure they delve superficially space rock and more experimental phrasings, but they are still trying to write pop songs with the added element of gloss on top. When the songs on BE do not materialize further they run into problems. I will give the record a few more listens as I enjoy Flick of the Finger, and to a lesser degree, Second Bite of the Apple a lot more than when I initially heard them.
Point of reference

Just Let It Come Down To Me has to be one of the weaker post-Oasis tracks from the chief. I can't think of many BDI songs I'd like to listen to less than that. Seems a poor example.

Not all about big choruses you know.... Then what's it about? Fair enough if you don't like it, its all opinions at the the end of the day. But if the limit of your musical enjoyment is based solely around big, flag waving, lighters in the air choruses then I think you are missing out on a great deal of really good music.

Why do people keep comparing Beady Eye with NGHFB? It's not a competition, you don't have to pick teams and defend their honor to the death And also, why is it that every time someone has a different opinion all the blind fans jump and start insulting? What the hell is wrong with people?? When will you learn that sometimes someone won't like what you like? Learn to have tolerance. Accept it. Move on. It's impossible to have some sort of civilized debate lately.

Nice to see that other people's opinions are tolerated. There's no need to call anyone a c*nt. Even if they are trolling.

Away listen to your dad rock that is nghfb!
I can appreciate music on a different level I don't need a big chorus rattling around my brain all day to enjoy it, Some people don't like change so you have something in common with a Mr Noel Gallagher mate
