I really enjoyed the gig. I pretty much knew I would unless they really fucked with it.
Some highlights for me:
-when noel looks up at the spotlight before IGTBF. Don't know why but I thought that was hilarious.
-we can finally hear the organ solo in mucky fingers!!!
-most (if not all) of the between song banter is left in
-freaky teeth is excellent all around
-I don't think I ever found myself thinking that the mix could be better I think they did a great job with it whereas the proshot stuff we had always had something for me to complain about. This particularly applies to the brass section, Tim smith and Noel's soft vocals on dream on and little by little.
-the bit about washing hair is funny as hell.
-possibly the single greatest version ever of whatever.
That's all I've got for now.

Great job. I quickly lost patience with it because I was having to almost break down the strings track into each bar and chance the tempo to match that particular few seconds to try and get it perfect. Needless to say about an hour into it I decided to sack it. Great work!! That's pretty much what I ended up doing, particularly toward the end where the demo version picks up a bit in terms of tempo. I forgot to mention that I used the choir/strings track along side the album version. So I basically made it as if I was combining the actual album version with the demo version. The percussion made it very easy to keep time whereas the choir/strings track on its own sounds very free and can be hard to keep time with. Even with the choir/strings track muted I knew that as long as I made the exact same cuts as I did with the album version it would line up properly. Hopefully that makes sense because that's what really saved my ass. Made it a thousand times easier.

Thanks a million for all the positive feedback guys. This place is the best.
For those who are interested...
Everybody's On The Run - Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds
I've synced the demo version (taken from "Faster Than The Speed Of Magic") with the isolated Choir/Strings track of the album version (taken from noelgallagher.com).
I slowed the tempo of the Choir/Strings track to match that of the demo. This change was appx 85 bpm to 77 bpm. It is pretty obvious that Noel recorded the demo without a click track so the tempo is inconsistant. There are several short edits throughout the song, though they should be unnoticable. Some spots may still sound a bit shakey.
The demo version is 2 bars short in the lead up to the first verse. I duplicated a bar from the demo version so that the build up could remain in tact.

Giving it a try as well. The tempo on the demo version is all over the place so this could take a while.

I might try mixing the EOTR demo with the choir and strings. I think the outro would really benefit from that

Well the trailer says there are 6 oasis songs from the O2 and 9 were played that night so which songs are cut? Based on what we know we can narrow it down. Everybody's on the Run has been confirmed as the second track which means Its Good To Be Free is probably on the DVD but mucky fingers isn't (though it could be the other way around but I don't see why that would be the case). The trailer also confirms little by little, whatever, and don't look back in anger. Which means that between supersonic, talk tonight, and half the world away, one will be left out. Thoughts? Mucky Fingers, The Importance of Being Idle and Talk Tonight, I guess. Shit I forgot the importance of being idle was still being played then.

Can anyone comment on the mix/quality of the EP compared to the live stream? I'm particularly curious about the crowd on DLBIA but I thought Noel's vocals could have used a boost on IIHAG as well. It's a shame they didn't include any of the songs with the brass section. It's the same quality, very boring. Well shite boring indeed.

I really like this version. I feel like a hybrid of this and the live version would be a great finished track. The distortion on the vocals is great for this song (same type of effect on high horse lady and the second verse of bring it on down). The tambourine is mixed too high but to be fair the song does mention a tambourine...

Could be something in the realm of Paul McCartney's Back in the US DVD.

How great would it be if the EP contained all of the songs played on this tour that aren't on the new DVD? LTLSALOM Wonderwall Angel child ASGOG Pro quality of every song played on the tour would be awesome. Forgot spaceman as well. And of course he'd have to play all of these songs at the show which unfortunately he probably won't.

I think spaneli is spot on. I never listened to the sound check version and I really like the production on the album version. It would make sense that the demo version will be a happy medium between the sound check and the album versions.
