Sorry about the delay, these threads completely skipped my mind! Anyway, we move on to what was seen by many upon release as a 'return to form' for Oasis, at least by the naysayers who disliked the previous albums.
1) The Importance Of Being Idle - I first heard this years ago, and never would have dreamed in 100 years that it was Oasis. Hearing it again 5 years or so later was what made me interested in Oasis, and so it sits proudly at No. 1
2) Turn Up The Sun - While having the intro of the Session version in dynamics [and maybe length] would have been nice, this is a great opener albeit one with slightly contrived lyrics.
3) Guess God Thinks I'm Abel - Liam's masterwork, a meaningful and wistful peace, with a great melody, but the ending is off.
4) Let There Be Love - I know some people are unsatisfied by this, but I feel it works perfectly for what it is.
5) Part Of The Queue - Love it, but I recognise that melody...
6) Lyla - A powerhouse that could be a tad shorter.
7) Love Like A Bomb - I really like this and I don't know why...
8) Keep The Dream Alive - I like it, but it just seems so similar to A Bell Will Ring in my head.
9) A Bell Will Ring - I like it, but it just seems so similar to Keep The Dream Alive in my head.
10) The Meaning Of Soul - A Short and sweet powerhouse. Just right.
11) Mucky Fingers - never could get into this.

01. Part Of The Queue - Stunning, everything is in right place here, mindblowing percussion work at the guitar solo. 02. Turn Up The Sun - Very addictive, love the intro and outro, the atmosphere on it is fantastic. 03. The Importance Of Being Idle - Simple amazing, nice falsetto parts and perfect melody. 04. Guess God Thinks I'm Abel - Could have been the fourth single, that says all. 05. Lyla - Great single, nice strumming guitars and the chorus is epic. 06. Mucky Fingers - Nice song, political lyrics and an amazing Gem harmonica solo at the end. 07. The Meaning Of Soul - Full of energy, like how it is acoustic and still rocks, nice harmonica solo. 08. Let There Be Love - Beatiful song, Noel part made this something special, but still too similar to SCYHO. 09. Keep The Dream Alive - Good, but a bit too long, and the layered guitars doens't fit the mood of the album. 10. Love Like A Bomb - Good melody and nice piano parts, but Liam sounds terrible and it's bad produced. 11. A Bell Will Ring - Good but too ordinary, standart Oasis song.

thats a tough one. Don't believe the truth is my favorite Oasis album and one of my most loved albums ever.
1) Lyla (got into oasis with this one) 2) Keep the dream alive (love the reverb guitar solo) 3) turn up the sun (best opener) 4) A bell will ring (don't know why but this song is driving me crazy, love the drums) 5) guess god thinks i'm able (liams finest moment) 6) part of the queue (would have loved it live) 7) the importance of being idle (best noel sung song in my opinion altough the solo of part of the queue beat it) 8) love like a bomb (love the piano part an liams voice) 9) let there be love (wonderful duet) 10) meaning of soul ( live it was a beast) 11) mucky fingers (love it too, but for me the weakest on this one)
and i want to add, that for me these had their best b-sides. i know most of you would disagree but this album + b-sides is my personal Oasis at their peak!

Definitely coulda/shoulda been an even better album.
I wish Noel had stuck with the original Let There Be Love demo.
Turn Up the Sun was a killer live, as was Lyla.
There was also some of the old magic in The Importance of Being Idle, as soon as I heard it I got that 90's feeling. And on top of that, he wrote it in a similar fashion to Underneath the Sky - by pinching lines out of a book lol
1. Importance of Being Idle 2. Turn Up the Sun 3. Guess God Thinks I'm Abel 4. Lyla 5. Meaning of Soul 6. Love Like a Bomb (should have been extended with those guitars at the end) 7. Mucky Fingers 8. Guess God Thinks I'm Abel 9. Keep the Dream Alive 10. A Bell Will Ring 11. Part of the Queue (seriously? NG has resorted to writing songs about queues?)

Part of The Queue isn't about queues, is about finding his soul in this town man.

As this was the one where I finally fell in love with Oasis and the one I know best so far, it is the only one where I dare to try this.

1) TIOBI-Noel's best vocal performance. Awesome solo. The last Oasis song I would call a full-blown classic. 2) Lyla-The biggest grower of all Oasis songs for me. When I find heard it, I was dumbfounded that this could be the first single. Now I see it for what it is--a simple, pounding rock tune that is epic live. 3) POTQ-Yes, a Golden Brown rip, but a beautiful one. 4) LTBL-This was the first "big" Oasis ballad that sounded a bit tired to me, but that brilliant middle 8 always wins me over, gives me goose bumps. 5) GGTIA-Liam's best tune, nosing out SOngbird. Simple, spare, lovely. 6) TUTS-A bit lacking in melody, but this is still a brute of a song. 7) MF-Noel's Dylan impression is annoying and unnecessary. Not that its a great song anyways. 8) MOS-I can get into this if I'm in the right mood. Mixed too muddy and low for my taste. 9) ABWR-Not a bad riff but there's nothing afterwards. I love Gem, but he ain't much of a songwriter. 10) LLAB-Liam has never sounded worse and the lyrics are terrible. 11) KTDA-I don't know why, but this song annoys the fuck out of me like few other Oasis songs. I think its because its such a clear, failed attempt by Andy to write a flag waving Oasis tune. It keeps threatening to break into something from 1994-5, but it never happens, and the chorus is just the worst kind of anticlimax.

1. The Importance Of Being Idle - It's just a classic, perfect to listen to at a hot summer evening 2. Let There Be Love - Great song, love the balance between raw liam and more sweet noel voice 3. Lyla - Gotta say this is one of their best tunes post 2000 IMO, even though it 'ripps off' the stones 4. Turn Up The Sun - Great attitude, great liam vocals 5. Keep The Dream Alive - Andy's best oasis song IMO 6. Love Like A Bomb - Dont know why, just love it 7. Mucky Fingers - Got a great energy in it 8. Guess God Thinks I'm Able - Love the melody, love the ending 9. Meaning Of Soul - Great attitude and liam vocals, but to a lesser degree as Turn Up The Sun 10.A Bell Will Ring - I like the optimism in this song, and the intro 11.Part Of The Queue - Never got into this, just one of these songs i forget they exist, like the vocals though

One of my top 3 Oasis albums. Every track is amazing.
01 The Meaning of Soul - love it on the album and live, just an intense, fast, hit and run 02 Guess God Thinks I'm Abel - the acoustic guitars create quite a mood, then "no one can break us...etc" 03 A Bell Will Ring - love the lyrics and guitar work, the song always gets me through tough times 04 Keep the Dream Alive - again, same explanation as ABWR Liam's a little nasally though 05 Lyla - a perfect hit single and lots of fun to play, always great live (vocals very hit and miss live) 06 Mucky Fingers - to me, its a song about independence. I love its pounding beat, chords, and harmonica 07 Part of the Queue - often overlooked but lots to enjoy on this song, especially the percussion 08 Let There Be Love - a happy song, a sad one, a wistful one? not sure but it can be all three 09 The Importance - often gets forgotten cos the other songs stand out more to me but its a classic 10 Turn up the Sun - that outro! its a great album opener and prepares you well for whats to come 11 Love Like a Bomb - didnt like it at first until they played it live at my first Oasis gig
