Just caught some of Lowlands. LG sounds great. Hat is a bit like an oversized coffee filter. Jackets cool though.

Here's a bit of insight into the remixing process behind the Revolver reissue, from Kenneth Womack no less, who wrote the brilliant book Solid State about the making of Abbey Road. www.salon.com/2022/09/15/remixed-revolver-to-reveal-new-layers-of-the-beatles-extraordinary-musical-powers/Discussing the technology from Peter Jackson, it's fascinating how new technology is able to identify and extrapolate separate sounds and instruments, providing the ability to enhance and remaster those parts. I've read previously that remixing the first Beatles records would be much more difficult due to the limited number of tracks they were using to record (was it two or four tracks for any audiophiles here?). With the abilities to separate all instruments, technology of which will only improve, surely it paves the way for all Beatles albums to be given the remix treatment they all badly need. The remixing of the entire back catalogue is something that desperately needs to happen. I can't listen to The Beatles out and about with the rotten stereo mixes and it's disjointed panning unless it's the mono mixes on my old iPod that were re-released in 2009 (that aren't even available separately or for streaming). It's fine on the stereo in your front room but that limits the time to listen to them. Again, a bizarre decision for the massively out of touch management to remaster these pointless mixes in 2009. That was a bit of a revelation for folks used to the US stereo versions. The only way I play the older ones is mono. Especially when I read, they weren't even there for the stereo mixes. 2009 was good for that. 2009 stereo did repeat the original sins. I do kind of like how every reissue, the bass seems to get a bit louder. Always thought it was too low. Paul the only one who shows, can ya nudge that a bit mate? Be interesting what they can with the new tech, going forward.

Actually I don't find this picture too bad especially Noel. And, it's not as bad as some of the other photos in this thread. It was Liam’s sexy lips that made it awkward for me. X Tough to overlook that, it is

Had this repeat about 20 X That Rockfield vid is so solid. The non song parts are short and entertaining. I believe Too Good For Giving Up is elevated greatly here. Just a great watch all around

I'm The Joker is crushing it. Groovy as hell. Diamond in the Dark hitting good as well.
I see folks talking about the outros. Def noticed those. Kind of made a couple of the songs better for me. Still taking it in though.

Just snagged a couple tix for Wet Leg in Louisville Kentucky. Loving them. They're playing around here at a festival, rather see them down there at a small place. Then a couple days on the Bourbon trail. Road trip, hell yeah, been too long

Yeah man, just had chance to sit down put earphones in and listen to all three released song together. Sounded great. You may or may not like these songs better than pre it's album but its undeniable there is a real step up in production quality. Coyk does sound better alongside the other songs too. Did the same. Was a great listen. HYPED.

Wrong. I seen them 7 times between 2005 and 2008 in the US. Arena's were always full. Watched them in Cleveland in an outdoor arena that held 14,000 and it was full.. last show in 2008 in DC was a huge arena and full .. They had a great following in the US. Problem is they weren't promoted so people was completely unaware they had new music out. No radio play or promotion. So only the die hards knew about it. They had a cult following in the USA for sure. I only remember MSG truly selling out to capacity. 2005 was a mix of theaters, arenas and amphitheaters. 2008 was focused on arenas. A lot of arena venues will doctor the seats available for shows. Even MSG will do this from time to time and not sell the top ring. It was sold out for oasis. Both times. I doubt Oasis filled those arena in places like Minnesota, Monterey, Oakland and Detroit. No shame in that. The DC arena show was in college basketball size arena so 10,000 tops. On that night they only offered 7,000 tickets with 6,500 sold. A far cry from 14,000. That’s basically a MSG sized audience. 5,000+ people is still a great pull regardless of venue size. I can confirm the top tier in Detroit 2008 was closed off and seats in the back half of the arena were empty.

If that’s not Noel it’s one of the better Noel impersonations I’ve heard ever Am I the only who thinks it doesn't even sound like an impersonation? It' s not even tonally close. The song is Noel-like though, and not terrible at that. No, Doesn't even sound close for me.
