It's an 8/10 for now, Be Still and Now That I've Found You are the stand out tracks for me, rating will probably go up as the lesser tracks (Meadow and Alright Now imo) grow on me.

It's an 8/10. But that's not Gallagher relative it's compared to anything ever released. I'd give AYW a 7 btw as a reference.
My track rating using the same metric
Shockwave 7/10 One Of Us 8/10 Once 8.5/10 Now That Ive Found You 9/10 Halo 8/10 Why Me Why Not 8/10 Be Still 8/10 Alright Now 8/10 Meadow 7.5/10 The River 8/10 Gone 7/10 Invisible Sun 7/10 Misunderstood 7/10 Glimmer 7/10 Once Demo 9/10

I know it will probably change but 10 out of 10 for me. I didn't anticipate this kind of album after all those singles and I'm really surprised how well the whole album sounds production and quality wise. AYW was a safe bet for Liam and WMWN is a step forward and I absolutely love it. The perfect album for me at this moment of my life.

7.5/10 for the album tracks on first listen.
I'll bump that to an 8/10 because of the bonus tracks.

Each song sounds fresh and has something unique. Definitely a 9 or 10. I went for 10 just because Liam has managed to do something especial and I love the bonus tracks

Love that it's layered. It's constrained so you don't get the BHN bloat. Production is great.

Album (without the bonus tracks) is top heavy.
Alright Now + Meadow are the weakest (especially Meadow). Gone saves it from a fate akin to DOYS.

Gotta be honest. After the first listen i rate it a 7/10. Why Me Why Not has more tracks that stand out. As You Were is better as a whole.

Very different sounding for Liam though, I like it

**** 4 stars out of 5, well done Liam
Shockwave 8/10 (fun to sing along to, BACK IN THE CITYY... but the hey's and the 'weasel' part ruin an otherwise amazing song) One Of Us 8.5/10 (don't love the start how the drums kick in, but the chorus, strings, and the african/gospel ending is truly amazing) Once 9/10 (really amazing, no words) Now That Ive Found You 9/10 (unbelievable, such a happy perfect song) Halo 6/10 (a bit too compressed a sound for me, would've preferred if they kept it old school, not sure about the mittens either, amongst other lyrics) Why Me Why Not 8/10 Be Still 6/10 (plods along, don't like the way his singing is composed in the chorus, prefers when he goes wild) Alright Now 7/10 (the initial verse melody, lyrics and music is absolutely amazing...the bridge/alternative middle bit of the song 'glass in hand' a bit avg tho) Meadow 4/10 (poor distorted effects on the vocals, melody seems a bit cringey to me, there's no chorus, it's a bit eery, i don't like it) The River 8/10 (CHANGE COMES WHEN THE WATTA FALLS...only the 'weakened knees' and 'money sucking MPS' line seems shit...and tbh with brexit it starts to make sense...the scream and shout is a bit 60's but it's alright...overall it's a lot of energy and makes you really get into a big mood, love the 'prize fighter' bit,,,wish he said knuckles can't get ANY whiter, instead of NO whiter) Gone 6.5/10 (just seems a bit middle paces, boring and slightly bitter, saved by the speaking part and "BEG ME!") Invisible Sun 8/10 never got that into the stone roses but fuck me this is so cool) Misunderstood 8.5/10 such a classy, old style romantic song, i think if you're in love or soon to be, you'll love this song even more than I do right now, beautiful vocals and lyrics Glimmer 7.5/10 - okay this like retro 60's american pop in 2019, a little cheesy, but it is fun, can dance to it, and makes you feel good. bit of a guilty pleasure Once Demo 9/10 (oh that raspy voice, oh those soft tones, fuck, it's amazing, we'll be playing this in beautiful memory of LG one day when he's gone, masterful )
technically that rating from individual songs gets it 7.2 for the album or 7.5/10 including the bonus songs
but to pull off the variety of songs, the highs that I experienced, overall i'm so happy and it's Liam, I'd give this album (including the bonus tracks) 8/10
*(I must admit I have done this trying to be sane. Tonight I did feel like giving this 10/10 just because the high's feel so high and there's nothing like hearing songs sung by Liam....so there's that factor, and it shouldn't be ignored, because it's real! Liam songs give more initial excitement than others...a very happy album listening)

I agree its too early to rate. So far it sounds great but Im disappointed its not as heavy, a stomper or punk rock as Liam made it out to be. As You Were sounds way heavier and more punk rock, even though Liam kept describing it as "apologetic". This new album is definitely poppier than anything, which isnt a bad thing.

A very solid 8,5 for me. Love all the singles. I actually like Shockwave even more, now I've heard it in the context of a full album. Great opener. NTIFY, Be Still and WMWN are absolute favorites from the ones I hadn't heard yet. Gone, Halo, Meadow & Alright Now will need a little more time I guess, but I personally already like them better than the 'filler tracks' on AYW.
Invisible Sun and Misunderstood could've been on the regular album.

It feels like such a relaxed, carefree, happy sequel to AYW. Regardless of where it ranks in Gallagher discography, it's a delight.

HUGE step up from As You Are. Need to listen a few more times before I vote. Not that keen on Be Still on first listen. I'm liking all the solo George Harrison style guitar solos. Misunderstood SHOULD have been on the real album.

After 2 listens
1. Shockwave - 8 - Good opener, catchy and almost as good as WoG 2. One of Us - 8.5 - Lovely song. End of it proper catches me out, wasn't expecting it, but really good none the less. 3. Once - 9 - Probably the best song on the album. Sounds even better than when I heard it first over the summer 4. Now That I Found You - 8/10 - Sounds great, only early but this will only get better 5. Halo - 7.5 - Interesting Song and a good upgrade on Bring The Light. 6. Why Me? Why Not - 9 - Contender for the best song on the album. Brilliant stuff 7. Be Still - 7.5 Still working this one out, but it is at least a good song 8. Alright Now - 8 - Caught me ear straight away this one, and probably only get better. 9. Meadow - 7.5 - A different sounding song, which is a good thing. Doesn't blow my mind, but again its at the minimum a good song 10. River - 7 - Its ok, nothing special. Probably worst on the album 11. Gone - 7.5 - Sounds good. Hopefully grows as well.
8.5/10 - I think this album is going to be the best Gallagher release since SOTSOG. Will grow even more through more listens. This lesser songs on here are better than the lesser songs on AYW.

- Shockwave - 7
- One of Us - 7
- Once - 8
- Now That I've Found You - 9,5
- Halo - 9
- Why Me? Why Not. - 9
- Be Still - 8
- Alright Now - 8,5
- Meadow 9
- The River - 8
- Gone - 9
- Invisible Sun - 8
- Misunderstood - 9
- Glimmer - 7
Whole album: 8,5/10 It's just so incredibly varied. And since the songs aren't very long there's really no time to get tired of any of them. I love AYW. But I definitely believe that album had some help in us getting to hear so many of the songs for months before release. I already had had the melodies stuck in my head for months once it came out. With WMWN I woke up humming half the album after only two listens.
