I have a ticket for Munich and am not that annoyed, just had to cancel the hotel. And if this maybe gives us the chance to get to hear new music ... On the other hand, I guess there goes my chance to get Bring it on down.

Shit excuse and shit for fans who have tickets and travel etc. There's an air of arrogance around the management and co. that fans can be treated like this. Its also quite sad that it's quite clearly because whoever is writing the songs has said he's only available at such and such a date and he s houts jump and Liams team say how high. Well they evidently want another number 1 album I might be wrong but I think all of the next album will be written by other writers. I don't think he will write a single song for it.

I’d imagine Liam will have this new album ready to roll by spring 2019.

They should never have put the leg on in the first place.
It's way too much for his voice to handle.
End it in September, after a summer of big gigs/headlining festivals, get him rested, back in the studio and then have the single out next spring - album out in April/May.
Tour could have waited until then to begin with.

I doubt LÃam will release anything until the end of 2019 at the earliest......I would guess 2020; he just now apparently finished touring and promoting his first album; he'll probably take nice a break....
Thanks.

Thanks. Disagree. He'll be back next year. Gonna load up a rented minivan and road trip with a soccer mom, or two Wanna go? Grow a pair bro. Lmk. Probably play Columbus not Detroit anyway. Seems to have an aversion to the motor city.

Surfers motto: when you catch that big wave, ride it all the way in That’s called Be Here Now. Love that record. Mustique demos amazing as well. I get what your saying though. Liam's got pros on the job. I'm all right with that. Catch a wave... and you"re sitting on top of the world

We all know Liam Gallagher is the singer, not a song writer. I'm pretty sure that majority of his fans have no problem if his albums will be written by someone else. If songs are good, it's good and if Liam sings them at front of his crowds, it doesn't matter at all if they're written by him or anyone else.

Think all of the november shows have been postponed. Oslo, amsterdam, munich and hamburg certainly have. Think Liams recording the next album then, but really, why announce a tour only to cancel it? I've moved your post in this thread. Cheers.

Weird to cancel a whole tour to record in the studio. Or is that just me? Whether this is the actual reason or not, I think it's a wise decision. His voice suffers too much and the venues are a bit too ambitious regarding size at this point, IMO.
Also glad I didn't buy tickets.

Yep I didn't even realise he was still looking to tour that late into the year. It doesn't make much sense to me other than for money, but surely getting a second album done and dusted then touring would be far more lucrative anyway.

No one in Liam's camp has said anything so far about whether Liam's written new tunes for the second album, so it's pure speculation at this juncture, but I'd be disappointed if the next album contained only songs written by other people as I fancy Liam's songs, they're among my favourite on "As you were": "Bold" & "I've all I need" for instance are far better than "For what it's worth". With the fall European tour cancelled, that gives him time to write a few songs or complete already-existing sketches. He said in an interview last year that he regularly doodles on the guitar & when he comes up with something good records it on his phone & comes back to it later.

I was going to go somewhere in Italy but had to put paying for it on hold while I apply for a mortgage. Got lucky. It's all well and good to say "people can get refunds", but often they can't. Poor show from Liam and team, although I'm not sure why this tour was booked anyway.
On songwriting, I love many of Liam's songs but he's not prolific. Realistically he's written maybe 10 good songs in 20-odd years? And generally the implication has always been that he's gone away and written those in quiet times, not while he's on tour. His new album won't have many of his own.

Paul Gallagher was asked on Instagram about a reschedule of Amsterdam and answered this: louisfairestAny idea when Liam is rescheduling Amsterdam please? p_agallagher@louisfairest I don’t have any idea- it won’t be this year
OK, I guess that does not come as a surprise!
Great thing, btw, that he has found his passion as Liam's newest tour photographer. Lovely pictures!

Personally I don't mind it'll be rescheduled next year. It's even better when he'll tour in Europe again when the new album is out. Paul Gallagher had his camera around his neck all the time before and after Liam's gig in Amsterdam back in March.

Personally i think the forumula we got last time was the right approach. I think hes a good songwriter and all this stuff recently about not being one, goes quite against all the hype surrounding his songwriting in one of the biggest bands in the world. Admittedly they over hyped his abilities (HC tour fans were saying his songs were the highlight of that album) but the way his songwriting is now completely dismissed is completely ignoring the fact he written most of As You Were and some of the strongest tracks on the last few Oasis albums.
