Cover art. It isn't awful, but it isn't encouraging. I judge books by covers. Seeing As You Were in store won't encourage someone to buy it.
Another bad move was releasing Chinatown as a single. No-way. It's good but it's not a single.
And lastly, GREEDY SOUL NEEDED TO KNOCK YOU OUT. IT'S TOO SOFT. NO HORNS, NO "YEAH" AFTER CRUCIFIX, AND NO ATTITUDE!

#1: Wall of Glass #2: Bold #3: Paper Crown - Album - #4: For What it's Worth #5: Come Back to Me

Alright I'll bite
My two least favorite songs are You Better Run and I get By. I like When I'm In Need, but its in the lower tier for me. For What Its Worth and Chinatown were my least two favorites of the singles released. That happens to be 5 straight songs in the middle.
Not skippable, but already once I hit that part, my mind is already wanting me to get to Come Back to Me through to the end of the bonus songs (I like all 3 bonus songs quite a bit, and would probably swap them for 3 of the songs in the middle, but I'll know better after many more listens). I guess you can argue that the middle is the best part to have your least favorite material.
Hopefully that part of the album grows on me.

I'm unsure why Chinatown and You Better Run are on the main album when there's Doesn't Have to Be That Way. Much better song

I'm unsure why Chinatown and You Better Run are on the main album when there's Doesn't Have to Be That Way. Much better song I don't know if it would have settled nicely on the album. I wasn't too fussed on Chinatown but think it flows well and has it's place on the album and serves a purpose. DHTBTW is a bit 'out there'. Good to see Liam doing this sort of music though I was thinking the album was a bit soft (production wise), but it rocks really. I wouldn't get rid of You Better Run for that reason (I think I'm just a bit acustomised to the live versions of the rockers)

Singles should have been (based on the results from the poll where people were actually clearly asked to choose 5 different favorite songs, as well as my personal judgement and the opinions of non-Oasis fans that I've spoken to):
#1: Wall of Glass #2: For What It's Worth #2: I've All I Need #3: Paper Crown #4: When I'm In Need

Not sure why Chinatown was released as a promotional single. If anything, it slowed momentum for the album. Clearly, it's one of the bottom tier tracks on this album (which is really saying something about how good the other tracks are...I like Chinatown!!). Paper Crown would have made a better promotional single.
I would've liked "It Doesn't Have To Be That Way" in the album rather than I Get By. That being said, "It Doesn't Have To Be That Way" needs some work on the "girl you're chasing rainbows but you cry when it's not there" part. Like...what?? Screams of lyrical laziness in my opinion. Could've been so much greater than it is.

There'll always be some strange decisions on every album. A couple of the Beady Eye bonus songs should have been on the main album as they were far better but instead those songs will probably just disappear for many.
Here 'it doesnt have to be this way' is a strange decision not to put on the main album. But its a bit like Slide Away never being a single, strange decision.
Still i'm glad the bonus tunes here are surprisingly good.
Still not keen on Chinatown but it seems a lot of 'neutrals' seem to like this tune or non-Oasis fans

I reall enjoy it. The only thing I would have chsnged is I get by as a bonus track and swap it with "it does not have to be that way".

Universal Gleam....Nice mellow tune but a bit plodding. Never really cared for these Liam Lennon-y acoustic songs.

I can't get over the fact that "Greedy Soul" doesn't have that much needed oomph and sounds so bland when compared with the Air Studios take.

Haven't heard the album but I will say that a big reason why I am not in any way motivated to listen to it is the fact that it seems to be co-written with what seems like a bunch of company writers. I suppose that's not a terrible thing in and of itself but it makes me uninterested in it and coming from a guy who is constantly on about being genuine and real, it feels absurd. Wall of Glass had 5 writers on it? What is this, a modern day Kokomo?

I'm not saying I'm not concentrating on music. I want to experience art because I want to experience an artist's vision, not the vision of corporate employees.

I want to experience art because I want to experience an artist's vision, not the vision of corporate employees. Every album you’ve ever loved has been a collaborative effort made by people who love their artform. And Liam has had more creative input into this album than almost anything else he’s ever been part of. Tony Visconti, George Martin, Phil Spector - they all took a cheque home.
