2 Gallaghers in a row have come out of a band and singled out Andy Bell with a little comment. Maybe Andy isnt the silent square he appears to be Or he's an easy target because he's a silent square? Beady Eye were fucked over by Liam pressing the self-destruct button, and Gem's injuries unfortunately, plus just not writing good enough songs. Quiet or introvert people usually disturb people a lot. Especially the ones who need to talk and be around people constantly, like Liam. They just dont understand that those kind of people.

TBF to Andy, Liam's criticism of him wanting to be in 2 bands at once is more shade at Liam for being a bit inflexible in his thinking. From what I remember, the plan was to take out Ride while Beady Eye was taking a break and only its split gave Andy the freedom to stay with Ride long-term. Of course, maybe Liam was afraid that, once back with his first musical love, he would not have wanted to come back to Beady Eye. And as apparently everything was going wrong in that band at that time anyway ...

Do you guys think all former members will be at the premiere? Also what percentage do you give out of a 100 that Noel and Liam will take a picture together at the premiere after a brief chat and possible hatchet bury...and what do you think that would do to add hype to this documentary... A part of me is feeling like this is all heading to an immense climax at the premiere.. I reckon Noel won't attend and will purposely book a gig to conveniently be busy that night. He won't want the agro.

www.musicweek.com/labels/read/liam-gallagher-signs-to-warner-bros-records-for-solo-album-release/065777And that about the new management, Sam Eldridge and UROK is confirmed as well. Welcome back in the bubble, Liam! >Meanwhile, Sam Eldridge, UROK Management, said: “Liam is one of the greatest singers, front men and artists of all time. No one combines passion, danger and a genuine emotional connection to an audience like him. There is truly no artist we could be more proud to be working, alongside Debbie Gwyther, and no home better to launch this next chapter of his career than our friends at WB under Phil and Max. "

" I like how he tries to say it isn't a 'solo career' in the NME article, almost as if what he is doing nothing like the well planned out efforts of his brother. It may well be a collection of 10 or 11 songs that are "eligible to be recorded" Liam, but if it's coming out on a record with your name on it that will do me fine Welcome back into the bubble indeed!

Maybe he's scared that he has to come up with another 10-11 songs if this is a minor success. But by now he already admitted that he tends to talk BS. As if we had not known that! If he had been actually serious about putting out those songs just for the hell of it, he'd hardly have signed with a major label. They won't allow him to stay outside the bubble. Good news for the trees and bad for the lonely milkmen and butchers of Hampton.

Good news for the trees and bad for the lonely milkmen and butchers of Hampton. I think the fact it is Warner Bros. after Beady Eye's relative commercial failure shows that a) Senior figures in the industry believe his name still carries enough weight to shift records (as opposed to another band name) and b) The songs are good enough to warrant a properly coordinated release. Whilst I wouldn't put money on him doing a Robbie Williams against Oasis or Noel Gallagher sales just yet (although that would be good!) as far as I am concerned it is just great from the perspective of a fan of his to see him making music again and hopefully touring that record to an appreciative audience.

The big thing he has to do is use his name, that alone will boost sales/interest that was missing from Beady Eye.

The big thing he has to do is use his name, that alone will boost sales/interest that was missing from Beady Eye. Going on the quotes we have seen thus far it would appear that is what he is doing. Hopefully either his other half he who a background in PR or other industry people have spoken to him and explained that if he is going to mount any sort of comeback after BE then he has to be brave enough to simply put 'Liam Gallagher' on the record sleeve.

I sent a friend of mine the dog/cat quote by Liam, because I thought it was funny. He thought so, too, but added that he finds it hard to like Liam because he seemed like such an idiot. I replied and said that I like how Liam still is the same and doesn't change for anyone, does and says what he wants and so on. My friend then said how you can also see him as someone who hasn't moved on from the person he once was, hasn't grown up, hasn't "developed". Which is also true and it sums up a lot of conversations we had on here. Sometimes, I can't help but think that Liam is really not a very smart and intelligent man. Education-wise he was just not priviledged which is not his fault, but there are others who then started to educate themselves after school. It's weird that I sometimes find it hard to explain why I even like him as a person, because he just sometimes talks so much vulgar and inappropriate stuff that it embarresses me. I guess, if I didn't love him as a singer and if I wasn't such a big Oasis fan, I wouldn't like him.

I think I identified all the members in Liam's new band. From left to right: Ryan Lochte (shaved head), John Lackey, Dave Attell, Liam, Daniel Brühl, Martine McCutcheon and Jim Broadbent.

ok i've had a few days to think this over and i'll probably get slated for this but i'm going to say it:
i'm not that excited about a solo album and tour, to be honest. i don't see how removing andy and gem from the equation is going to make the songs any better. and to see liam on stage performing beady eye and oasis tunes (let's face it, 'those' songs are going to find their way into the setlist) with a bunch of random dudes is going to be... strange. and a little depressing, really.
although i will admit if bonehead is out there with him that will be kind of cool i guess.

It depends how much of his set is going to be BE/Oasis, although I agree he will need some of those songs initially to make up a full show unless he is going to do 40-45 minute sets based on ten or eleven songs. As to Gem and Andy maybe it's because I am older but I still remember the bemused looks on people's faces at shows, especially in Europe as Oasis played with only Liam and Alan White recognisable in 2000, not helped admittedly by Noel deciding not to tour but even at the festivals opinion where I was staying was very divided as to the qualities Bonehead and Guigsy's replacements had. I have to admit with the rumours of one year only contracts during SOTSOG world tour for Gem and Andy I did think the band would be over after that, but they proved me wrong and carried on for another decade. There is no reason why Liam cannot like Noel move on from the BE/Oasis live line up with the right band and songs. As to Liam with random dudes isn't that in effect what Noel is doing as well, albeit with some of those people having been in bands/session circles longer than others? FWIW I personally am less bothered about ex-Oasis band members guest spots than seeing how Liam's new songs sound, and how a live band performs them. If he has a reasonably successful record backed by a decent tour then there is no reason why he cannot continue to move on from BE/Oasis with his own music and continue performing odd songs from those eras should he chose to do so.
